In the scenes facing south from Center St, you can see the crossing devices still standing albeit with their gates removed at Columbia St where the overpass is. Not sure which year they closed that crossing
Yes, Q690 and Q691 were both on the Columbus Sub in those days. The cars on the head end of the C&O westbound were hazmat incident training cars from DuPont. Thanks for your comment.
Awesome video, sir! Was there such a train as Q690 on the Columbus Sub back then? That train had some interesting cars on the head end. Also, you saw a hobo riding the INSE west of Bellefontaine.
Wish I could have gotten over to Marion in the early 1970's when the the EL was still going. Was there in 1994 so got to see AC tower still opn at least.

WOW!!..Seeing this area then and seeing it now is almost like night and day.. The station and surrounding area have changed ALOT in just 22 years!!..

The tower and station both are still here and still open..Although the tower has been moved over beside the station and restored..
He was always kind of gruff to younger fans. I think he's mellowed out since he had his stroke 12 years ago.
