I kind of wish canon Viktor was more like this version since here the whole transhumanism big bad villain thing was his active choice where in the show it just sort of happens because Jayce went and shoved the Hex Core inside of Viktor. Love both versions, but this definitely makes me wistful for what could have been.

Finally someone who shares my opinion! A story/arc whould have make much more sense sense than this Jesus Viktor alien multiple Spiderverse I mean Viktorverse mess they came up with. (The ending was beautiful but this fan animation is so much much better)
@g.k.5165 it would have been so much cooler for vik to engage in something actually revolutionary for society, of his own making, actually delving into the science, becoming a bio-hacker, and in lore the reason he dulls his emotions is cause of his depression, imagine if vik went on to pioneer anti-depressants and anti-anxiety meds. That would be for more of a glorious evolution than the unearned commune in season 2

The idea of him fusioning and experimenting with the hexcore was good but it could have outcome like this in the series. Viktor was a scientist and a mechanist. It would have been so epic ic he would have just created a suit/armor with the use of hextech (mixing with shrimmer power or something) - like how they announced the glove and hexclaw to the prof. For me it was like the creators forgot or ignored what he was like/he did in S1. Like I mean Viktor went to Singed to get the shrimmer and he said “Jayce will understand” BUT WE NEVER GOT TO THIS POINT in the series (it would have been a great cause to their separation argument or something) and Like bro didn’t even notice or worried about his partner’s literally purple hand. Like it never happend in S2. Instead of this he just randomly becomes brainwashed and talking in phrases as a messiah. And leaves Jayce right away whitout any hesitation. (actually I felt bad for Jayce so much) Sorry I got this really long
@g.k.5165 also they completely decenter war and instability in piltover and zaun in the narrative, it disenfranchises every character from their morals, and ruins the stakes, Viktor should have never fused with the hex core, cause it makes him lose agency, it's the choices characters made that made arcane season 1 so good. Viktor should have been trying to stop the council from sending in more enforcers by pivoting their energy to something else, like say making defensive robots that could absorb the shock from jinx's explosives, having it eventually be co-opted by the council and turned into suits to match the chem suits, or turned into robo enforcers with weapons that'd brutalized and antagonize zaun, leading to Viktor leaving with the hex core, teaming up with singe and studying the hex core together for medical breakthroughs, and then jayce coming in and doing something way out of order, and not realizing his and Viktor's relationship is unsalvageable and regretting his actions until it's too late, it would have been an actual tragedy. And zaun should have gotten it's independence at the end of the season
man this is goated. i especially like several parts of your animatic when refrain kicks in: viktor spinning joyfully on a leg he's probably never done that with before, he and jayce floating freely in the hextech light (a part of the show that always just Hit for some reason? imagine the wonder and excitement of that moment after a life of being weighed down in so many senses of the word lol), and his happy rooftop leap. bro is living! the whole vibe of this is a lot more whimsical than expected but somehow still makes me way more emotional than a bunch of angstier stuff i've seen lmao. honestly great work, technically too. makes me wanna get back to my own projects. as soon as viktor did that first small twirl i had this feeling i was in for a treat; thanks for making this and good luck on whatever stuff you make in the future

OK? WOW? OMG??? (I can’t believe I saved this video to watch it later after I finish watching Arcane Lol) I’m blown away. I was crying at the part where Viktor and Jayce were flying with the hex crystal like back in Act 1, what a great call-back and OMG the stellar camera work and choreography when Viktor fell out of the window and running though Piltover was so fluid it sends chills to my spine. This deserves more recognition you did a wonderful job you should be so proud! (I honestly thought Jayce and Vik were gonna hug at “I hope you’re happy in the end” Lol)
