This game is "Dragon Ball Z" and those two movies were labelled under Dragon Ball Z, so it would make sense to have those as DLC. The sequel will probably be Super. No point in going through all of Z again, so most likely the sequel will pick up after Battle of Gods (or after Revival F if they do it in this game as DLC) and we'd go through Universe 6 Tournament all the way to the Tournament of Power and Broly movie.
If this game had a versus mode it would be a huge deal honestly. Never saw a better looking DBZ game before but without a versus mode where you can fight with and against whoever you want. Its sad that they didnt do it.

I think online would be a masterpiece. The mechanics could be, playable characters that appeared in the game, (yes even including the bosses and support characters) maybe there can be like fighterz, 3 people on a team you pick. Even being able to switch them out maybe. The way kakarot plays just is perfect fit for online in my opinion
Son Goku are you joking? Gokus spirit bomb would completely break the game, not to mention the controls are clearly designed for PvE and not PvP, it would be clunkier than xenoverse and we all know how bad that is.
Son Goku no these are facts, everyone knows that a game that’s made to be catered 100% to pve cannot be played in pvp. It’ll be clunky as hell. Xenoverse was meant to be made for both and you see how clunky it is at times. Literally this is an rpg mashing game, you can’t turn that into PvP and if it was, it wouldn’t be fun or balanced for anyone. The skills and buffs that some characters get are flat out broken. Not to mention the break mechanics would piss everyone off. Mashing B break, mashing B break. Throw a super attack, snap vanish, break, mash B break. That’s not fun for anyone.

@@BeliasLP i'm personally not the biggest fan of Super. I'd rather have a reimagining of GT where you explore planets with Trunks en Pan than play through Super. The only thing i loved about Super was Ultra Instinct, Goku Black, Hit and the last arc. But having the original classic Dragonball as a adventure game is a must. That series is becoming so underrated now a days.

Although i'm curious why Kakarot has less playable characters in the story than Budokai. Budokai had: goku, vegeta, tien, gohan, yamcha, krillin, piccolo, Uub and Broly (and a scrapped kid goku) back on the ps2. Yet today we have better technology, more space not limited to a disc and even more sagas; yet for some reason Kakarot is behind in all but the technology. Granted they wanted DBZ only content but then we see android 21 and Mira so that isn't true. This Debug pretty much confirms they didn't have enough time. They should add some of these characters with their own story in later updates; add a few movie characters in and consider a DLC pack for Dragonball GT, so if people don't want GT they just don't have to buy the pack and it will feel like it's not even a thing. That and imagine flying around earth battling truffle-controlled friends or just old villains again thanks to super 17. Or finding the escaped shenron, each with their own boss battle.

It's a game built on the budokai 3 engine with new minigames, cutscenes and characters that lead up from the saiyan saga to the end of dbgt. It has minigames for tien's tribeam cannon, dragonball hunting, training with vegeta, flying with gohan, eating minigame and escape burning namek. Kind of like what Kakarot has but on the ps2 :p

Well budokai mostly for used and fighting. Kakarot has other rpg mechanics implemented in it. That's why there are less characters.
