shit i quit way before high isle i missed quite a few content drops. the game is a repetitive mess with developers who couldnt care less about it. eso has potential but the developers are not the right people to work on it.
I won’t lie - consistently negative commentary, endless feedback consisting of nothing but whining, gets absolutely exhausting. Like yeah - no shit, more content would be cool. It would always be cool. But I know for a fact I’ve heard this particular channel whine before about the lack of new class. And when we DO get a new class, it’s not excitement to try it out, but just more bemoaning about the class, when the sum total we’ve seen so far is 4 abilities. I get where this is coming from - but someone’s it’s necessary to take a step back, and examine these things without the entirely jaded point of you one has. Because this endless, tiresome commentary declaring the game and the update dead before it even steps out the door, helps no one. Contributes nothing. It’s just jaded drivel from someone clearly burnt out on the game.
A new class was something everyone wanted, universally, in ESO. It's just there were tons of other things we wanted more than a new class that were overhyped, like vet overland or spellcrafting. A new class was the safest option, same with a morrowind chapter, to get people lost in nostalgia alongside a new toy.
I wanted a new race. Maormer were everywhere in High Isle but they instead gave us a dumb trading card game. Spellcrafting however is something that I wish to avoid at all costs, it was broken in Oblivion, now imagine it on an MMO. I also want Vet/HM option for zones.
Same reason they've broken Skyrim into multiple pieces. They're gonna milk that nostalgia. Milk milk milk... I used to love this game. It was my #1 favorite MMO. The monetization has become obnoxious, and they've shoe-horned it in in some really insidious ways. I checked out.
come on sawman we got to see the videos of the servers crashing when 1000 arcanists and sorcs are portling/streaking since the servers cant handle the load. thats great content.
I rarely play ESO. I just log on to collect event tickets and log back off. ESO's cash cows n shills still make me cringe.. whenever I see them flex about getting scammed out of their money into buying a mount through a crown crate...
The idea of making overland repeatable with hard difficulty is great the problem is that "coders" in ZOS are unable to balance anything and their last "masterpiece" was a mount without textures which hit production environment without noticing of QA test team. Which explains a lot. They are clowns supervised by monkeys LOL
one tamerial kinda did this but got nerfed big time. eso is super ez which makes it boring. Go play new world were soloing does take some skill and work.
I quit ESO three months ago. I hate to say it, there's nothing here I haven't seen already given I focus on PVP. It's embarrassing how much I spent on this game. I've diverted all that cash to family time. Honestly, I drive my entire family down to the amusement parks every other month in a new Truck with the amount I was spending on ESO. Taking that time and spending elsewhere has been a game-changer (pardon the pun).
I couldn’t have a full time job working 40+ hours a week and still find the time to grind for item sets and practice being good enough to keep up with good pvp players , I’d need to be unemployed
Idk why but eso is just a boring game like ok yes at times it can be fun nightblade stealth killing a city imo was very cool stealing murder loved that outside of that though aside from slotting gold for sets and or farming said sets it’s boring it’s clear they want you to loot box to have fun and even then many games do micros better 😂
For sure, they dont even need to give the infinite crafting bag to everyone, even if it worked like the material storage in GW2 for example, it would help a toon. The material storage in GW2 is similar to the crafting bag in the sense that only crafting materials go in there, but in GW2 everyone has acces to it, even f2p, at the start it can only hold a full stack of each item (250 in GW2), then you can upgrade it to 2500 over time, using gems, or converting in game gold to gems (similar to ESO). GW2 has the same inventory/bank problems as ESO when you start, but this "limited crafting bag" being available to everyone helps a lot, you get some extra inventory bags and after a while you don't have inventory problems anymore, even if you want to craft, unlike in ESO that even if you have full inventory, bank and extra chests in your house you still have trouble hoarding all the materials you will need for crafting, especially if you intend to have alts. So that's "my proposal", they give the crafting bag to everyone, but it can only hold a stack of each material "for free", hell, even half a stack (100) would still help quite a bit, then when you reach the end of the game and decide you want to stick with the game, you have two options, get the sub for infinite bag and never worry about inventory anymore, or you can buy "crafting bag upgrades" in the crown store (500 or 750 crowns per extra stack), and slowly increase your "crafting bag inventory", but not an infinite amount so the sub is still the better option.
All rewards in ESO are crap because they want you buying everything for $$$ in Crownstore. They are so overconfident that they give players 100.000 gold currency in daily reward from time to time (compare it with 100-500 golds reward for storyline quests) because they know that 100.000 golds currency buff buys perfectly nothing valuable.
After being banned for 4 days for criticizing RichLambfart and GillianTheNub, I simply deleted the game and won't bother reinstalling it. Funny how fast anyone that criticizes these guys get banned, but people can spam the N word and stay unbanned for days. Clown company, and their priority is quite obvious. The game is complete trash and a shadow of what it was. Summerset was the last good patch IMO, even with its performance issues and sloads. Gilliam is trash, Lambert is trash, the community is trash, Microsoft is trash, etc. -- no point in playing the game when I could be reading a good book. Gaming as a whole is trash, but ESO takes a special exception. Also, screw ESO and ZOS for shafting all Redguards. That alone grates my nerves. What a shit game and disgrace to the Elder Scrolls name. I will still enjoy Oblivion though..not Skyrim because that was a lame game, and likely the first ES game all of Zenimax Dev's played and love the most.
Necrom... continued with the flashing lights, spinning triangles etc to the point people want to throw up. They also 'extended' the pvp campaign another 25 days, robbing everyone of their transmutes the day the chapter came out. Soooo people can't play with one another, they're not watching the green flash of death on streams, they're not even logging in to public areas. As far as launches go... the worst. You called it. And yes, the class has issues with los, casting and dps asides from causing actual illness.
So much of hearing for 3 years "we can't add new class because of animation limitation" The new class looks cool, but man... I wanted that Spellcrafting system. Aslo, I really cringe when they make those ESO gameplay trailer in first person, like It's Skyrim-2. Nobody plays like that, and if you do. Stop it, get some help.
It's hard to justify playing ESO anymore for me as well. FFXIV puts out what content we get in chapters in their regular .1, .2 etc patches. And way more in the expansions. Yet the price is the same for both: $40. Pay the same for 10x less content doesn't really add up.
Yea I moved on to playing FF14 too. I like it a whole lot better. I have guildies from ESO who also play FF14 and they've been graciously helping me out. They no longer play ESO.
@Mobstar Malcom Welcome to the game and yeah makes sense. That's what happens when ZoS clearly don't care, and just puts out the minimum so that they can push the cash shop more. Well players get tired of it
i liked ff14 but sadly it's not on xbox. i've just defaulted to playing old school runescape. $12.49 a month and the developers are passionate about the game and actually know what's best for the game. i do wish more companies tried the ff14 strategy rather than milking their customers dry
QoL in a game that now has over 8,000 set items plus all the other stuff you keep getting would be ADD A F#*KING ZERO to our storage coffer capacities!!!!!!!!! And if we can't get more character slots then who with 18 toons is getting deleted???
Holdddddd on. People Made a suggestion of a new class because it's such an easy option response to Lambert squandering that the eso community just is never happy. Skill lines, pvp updates, overland overhauls..... more solo challenges. These are the things people who have invested into the game ask for. A class was just an afterthought. This is coming off the heels of them making every class functionally the same and hybrid. The thing that really set me over the top was this being toted as a new feature. If they had no doubt in their mind they didn't do a mediocre job, they would not have to upsell this as some revolutionary feature.
I’ve only ever played ESO for the story cuz I’m just an Elder Scrolls nerd that needs to learn everything about the universe. But it’s interesting hearing negative things about this game I would have never felt myself cuz I don’t play it that much.
Yeah I just play for the exploration, story/lore, and the fashion/housing. I have been enjoying the card game as well when I have the time. So it's interesting to hear the perspective of those that play for the pvp and high level pve.
“Some people aren’t ready to be freed from the matrix……..” SypherPK is a great example of someone who changed game and did really well. Hope that happens for you too big man!!! Can you make a one night guest appearance on EU before you go? For old times 😢 come home 🏡
I definitely feel like ESO is holding Sawman back. He really has the potential to grow his channel and gain new subscribers...he will just need to find new games that draw in the views.
Literally everything in Matt's letter last year was a straight playbook run of corporate speak for 'We are going into maintenance mode.' The only reason they don't say it like that is cause the tail end can be VERY profitable if costs are cut in the right ways. 1) Reduce production cost. Check. Procedural based systemic gameplay that allow for a skeleton crew to drive content. 2) Reduce operating cost. Check. New architecture that can more efficiently process data, thus allowing them to throttle down resources dynamically while maintaining the same crap performance as always. I'm actually genuinely surprised they even bothered with a new class but I guess they needed SOMETHING to convince people to pay?
Some people like procedurally generated endless dungeon runs. I'm one of them. It's almost all I play. Ziggurat and Ziggurat 2, Immortal Redneck, and Gunfire Reborn are the greats. Procedural roguelites are a niche genre, 3D ones even moreso. I'm incredibly excited for that "cheap" content. If the balance and combat is solid, the genre literally never gets old. There's an endless dungeon in FFXIV, forget the name, and it was difficult to stop playing for me. Enjoyed it more than any other combat-based content in that game. Hands down. The only good games I can think of that fit 3D + procedural + hack and slash or shooter are Gunfire Reborn, Ziggurat, Immortal Redneck, GTTOD, and then you have Vermintide 2 and some other niche indie titles. There's not much out there.
@@zozihn8047 And there's nothing wrong with any of that. In the indie dev space we often look for 'systemic gameplay' solutions specifically because we don't have the resources to devote to massive production. And if we get them right it can really be something special. My warning isn't specifically that this new feature will be bad but rather that it signals the end of ZoS's full-steam commitment to the game. Traditionally they have been running on a content-driven model. But every massive project like this usually comes with five and ten-year plans. Around those watermarks the companies usually start looking into their exit strategies. In the case of ESO they can't simply sell it off to a third-party since the IP is massive. So they will need to look into sunsetting slowly over time. This is the signal that the procedure has begun.
@@jamesclark2663 I guess. Not particularly worried about the concept. There are good skeleton crew games still online that have a lot of content. If it is ending, better to do it this way than bankruptcy + shutting down servers + private source code/IP that no one can ever legally use. Marvel Hereoes comes to mind as one like that. Studio went under and the game went offline. Now no one will ever get to play it again. Not even solo. Insofar as old games that are still good: TF2, Planetside 2, and SWTOR stand out as games that (for the most part) were handled well.
@@zozihn8047 That's a fair assessment. I've often wondered if there would come a time when logging in simply wasn't an option anymore and a long and successful tail could fend off such an even for a very long time. Perhaps even indefinitely (within reason of course). I'm just jaded and cynical. I've been burned by this company before and many times by others like them and don't look at what they do in optimistic light anymore because of it. I knew something was fishy when they announced the software upgrades last year and I quit playing shortly after. To date I haven't seen a reason to doubt my assessment. But who knows. Maybe in three of four years they'll calm down with the wild changes and lack of effort on quality, pick the direction they want to go and just settle into that groove indefinitely while they make what they already have shine. I would probably consider even coming back at that point. In such a case you just may be right that the future could be a bit dim but filled with warm light nonetheless.
Why are you the only one being honest about this right now? I can’t believe all the creators simping so hard over this shitty reveal. Literally a week ago they were all complaining about everything wrong with the game and what it needs and a new class was not what anyone was asking for but now it’s exactly like you said with all these “OMG best year ever for eso” click bait thumbnails and going crazy over this shitty new class.
I stopped playing eso about 6 months ago to play ffxiv, one of my biggest gripes with eso is it feels like every expansion is just an asset flip. Nothing really is new. I love the combat in the game, but between bugs and no true new content it just gets boring.
@@MalcomMalediction think we can buy the class separately later on or maybe even right from the beginning, 30-40 bucks for a new class together with necrom is ridiculous when I can buy an entire game with that
Im a sucker for Telvanni and Hermaeus, but I only play once in a while and its obviously the same dlc on repeat, +1 class, +1 zone so its probably maddening for you regular players. New companions though
No one's gonna bring up the fact a new class is to milk those crown store skill lines and skyshards? ZoS knows you don't wanna grind mages guild books again, or hunt down skyshards...so pay up fan boys. It's like they said "How can we get people to pay for Morrowind AGAIN?" It's pathetic how low effort this is. So HYPE to pay a $50 chapter to just spend more money! /s 🙄
Give it time i wager by the end of this year hel have gained another 50 lbs The rule of thumb is He has to eat a twinkie everytime someone makes a uwu comment after getting slapped by a tentacle they open this door with that shit they will likely regret it by years end
Its just too damn boring at this point. Canceled sub, havent been on in weeks. Why cant they do something new and exciting? If they ever ditch old gen consoles so they can mayyyybe atempt to do more I might come check things out. Will NOT be buying Necrom. Great vid thanks Sawman
Gotta love corporate pr talk. Like how they are trying to sell less content as a good thing. Because let's be clear, the big content release change is just that, they're are scaling back. Whether it's the mass layoffs or the new mmo they're working on, they're scaling back. Which would be fine, but just be honest about it.
The moment I saw that it's just a reveal of a new chapter, I knew nothing will change. I've been out for several months and I am not coming back. Absolutely agree with you sawman, on basically every single point.
Lol played it when morrowind vivec chapter came out. I was just utterly sad because it was way to hyped up. I have 400+ hours in skyrim, 200+ hours in oblivion and also 300+ hours in morrowind. The worst pain of all is that eso is considered canon which is just wrong on so many levels.
Is very sad but sawmsn is on the money with eso. So little about this chapter and people are expected to fork out money just so they do not get left behind by a broken class that will have a shelf life of about 3 months till it gets nerfed to the ground and ends up like necro. But at the end of the day zos had already captured so many causals sheep that they can do where ever they want and the sheep will pay money for it.
Sorry.... bug fixing should always be happening, not a scheduled release in a fucking years time. What do I know, I only develop software.... I am half a step away from just ditching this game. Monetization is a problem.
I wish you the best of luck with New World. IMO Every MMO out here has PROS and CONS. There is no perfect MMO. ESO not having PvP content is nothing new and ppl just need to move on. Like you said there is plenty of other games that are coming and why would you waste your time as a PvP Content Creator waiting on ZOS to revive PvP. Great Video and hopefully your New World content skyrockets to the moon.
Problem with ESO is not PVP. It is the PVE which it is supposed to be good at. Overland is an objective joke for everyone in mid-late game and a new class without a new game system / mechanic gives 0 value to people who doesn’t do alt.
We all stick around because some of us are true Elder Scrolls fans and just want to be able to play an TES game like Skyrim but with our friends. ESO would have been far better imo if it was like Fallout 76 and not like WOW.
@@colonian83 because not all of us play ESO just to play an MMO. We Play ESO because, even though it may not be one of the main TES games it’s still an Elder Scrolls game and we love TES too much to abandon ESO even though ZOS is killing it.
@@colonian83 Honestly most mmos do not focus on pvp that much xD I have played wow for years and even ff14..most of the pvp changes are small compared to rest of the story and pve end game stuff. At best you get a new world quest or two. While balancing may be off, I enjoy eso's pvp at least how it works out in it's core. Ofc personal view.
Another chapter to pass... 1. No new bgs maps/modes 2. No overland hard mode 3. No morality system 4. No class sets I just want ONE of those to come back
@@zedorian6547 mortality system like SWTOR... Your character making good/evil decisions and people reacting to you differently. Fable is a solid example Like your doing a quest and you can save/kill/do nothing and the choices you make effect your character and the story
@@zedorian6547 problem with the crime system in ESO is you kill someone... Pay a small fine and everyone is like "cool, you're the hero, help me find my lost kid". What it should be is that that quest giver doesn't trust you because you murdered someone and you can't do that quest. Maybe a more evil quest pops up asking you to steal something, or beat up some locals to have they agree to do something
@ZombieJesus fables morality system was one of my favorites, I also loved the fact that eating unhealthy food in game made you fat it always made me giggle
The human language is altogether too feeble to attempt a description to how much I agree with literally every word you said. I quit ESO recently and good riddance! I've spent years of my life and thousands of dollars on it over the years but enough is enough. No more. I go the way of Guild Wars 2 now. Godspeed, sir.
The community managers trying to sell products rather than explaining in gameplay terms why everybody should be excited about the new content is SUS AF
But that wasn't the thing they were referring to, was it? No ...they touted a return to Morrowind as that feature, something I've seen literally no one ask for. Saying the new class is what the devs are talking about is pure cope.
@@irishsage2459 Tell me you didn't watch the Global Reveal, without telling me you didn't watch the global reveal. Instead, you fell for the out of context editing here. A return to Morrowind is not what it being promoted by ZOS as the requested feature. A new class is what is being promoted by ZOS as the requested feature.
exaclty what i was thinking, they will introduce a bug as hell class in the game, and thats all, and a lot of content creators just pretending to be happy because it will bring views eso is a joke, specially the content creators of it
You're gonna love this bit sawmanuk...I asked myself this..."Why the hell don't they add all previous chapters to the upgrade? why do they put it in for newer players?" Some people will make all sorts of excuses as to why....Then I realized something....when you are strapped on cash like me, Why would I upgrade and not buy a new account and get all previous areas? This makes their account numbers go up. For me I buy a new account every 3 years. I can craft anything on my first account....(making me log in to both lol)
@@colonian83 True. As long as you know your class well (AKA Git Gud) any class can work. I just can't wait till they change up things and make people mad. Also, it'll be fun cosplaying as Miraak.
Sawman your my favourite geezer for videos , I agree Eso is so boring now pvp is unbalanced with the same maps from years ago , literally a new build comes out every patch how boring is that , I log in to trade that's it. ZoS is doing nothing to keep me playing. Every magicka build is the same as is stamina. And the lack of classes is a fucking joke Ill always follow your videos and totally agree with you on this point .Im going to try FF14 again see what its like Good job man
TBF a new class has been requested by everyone forever I just never assumed they'd do it since they kept saying the "consoles can't handle it so we're never having one" but I guess that is like the "new servers won't fix cyro" lie. I honestly like horror more than anything so having a horror theme is exciting me, same with the class but it's also ESO so I'm managing my expectations a bit.
Again, a new class wasn't what they were talking about as the requested feature, was it? No, it's a "return to Morrowind" they said was the most requested feature, and I've seen literally no one ask for that. Morrowind actually was the first chapter to do harm to the population, if anyone can remember without the Rose colored glasses. Massive nerfs to combat, removal of Maelstrom weapon bonus stats, and a new broken class. Saying the new class is what the devs were talking about is nothing but pure cope.
Honestly I am expecting them to make a downgraded "console version" of the class animations so that even though we're paying the same price, our Arcanist abilities will look like shit compared to what they preview in this videos. Cus, speaking as a console player, I don't think "consoles can't handle it" was a lie....pvp and trials are increasingly unplayable on console due to the sheer lag.

All that money for such a crappy promotional video too. I watched the stream and the 45 minutes of adverts for other microsoft games. I reckon the team is going to be leaving soon, Sawman. There's no effort anymore and I think it's becoming evident that they are probably on their last year (present team) and will be replaced. I wouldn't be surprised that they are minor share holders too......*closes eyes* When you have guys wearing their sunday couch clothes to a public appearance, with a knotted beard and out of bed hair, you know something is wrong ;) *I might be old school, but I don't appreciate low effort*

@@Blackes_Magic yep remember...they chose to meet with Nefas for his feedback.......they didnt bother to meet a single PVP'er for feedback and ghosted many ESO PVP youtubers like Nyce Gaming when trying to arrange meeting with Gina Bruno
@Hoeseph Thotson I don't know of any other pvpers that represented but as far as I'm aware there was only one in that meeting, painintheaxe, he doesn't really do youtube content though he mostly just livestreams on twitch. One is better than none but I agree with your sentiment
@@Blackes_Magiclol while I'm not gonna speak on him I wouldn't say people who enjoy the game are shells to ZOS. People just like and care about different things, I personally am looking forward to the new chapter, but I wait till it gets added to ESO plus and I buy it then when I'm playing then stop if I switch to something else, you're not wrong to criticize though I agree this game is most definitely flawed
@@hoesephthotson8969as sad as it is to say I think PVP is such a little focus to them that they don't even bother, most players focus on the PVE content sadly, from someone who's gotten Emp I get it g I would kill for a time skipped cyro map or more variety for BG, personally top of my list would be an arena like in Imp city in Oblivion, with actual players watching
Morrowind set the standard for how classes should be introduced… alongside a system. Until Overland receives a much needed adjustment to difficulty and rewards, it has no appeal to veterans. At least with Tales of Tribute, it was a system every purchaser of High Isle could participate in, even if nobody did. There needs to be a balance between fishing for new players and respecting your current ones and this chapter is heavily skewed away from veterans.
The most requested new feature (after Hugh Isle) was a new class, hands down. You may not like it, but it's true. I know I was a part of at least 3 different polls taken right after High Isle, and a new class topped every one of them. I know there are some players who a lot of those things you mentioned, and I understand why not getting those things is upsetting.....but it's a bit disingenuous to say that those other things were more highly requested than a new class.
4:08 damn they were doing good for awhile had y'all fooled with griffin mounts, big cat mounts, actual variations to the design of the base mounts beyond re-skins but they fell back into their old "just make the senche blue instead of white and give it orange paws. that's 40 dollars right there.
I uninstalled ESO almost a year ago. Your last ESO video? I doubt that highly but there’s lots of other games out there to play mate. New world isn’t bad guild wars two it’s OK. I’ve been having a blast in DayZ myself. It’s so hard to move away from an MMO that you’ve invested so much time into. I know I’ve been there. I played ESO since beta. Good luck.
i quit a year ago. this is just hate porn for me lol In all seriousness though it's sad to see what this game has become. I had a Grand Master Crafter with every single trait researched and 16 max level characters. It would've been cool to jump back in a few years from now if the game turned around but they pretty much scrapped it into a slot machine. only mmo i ever played too
@SawmanUk you knew going into The Elder Scrolls Online MMORPG it's always pay to play, Elder Scrolls Online is my casino I have spent $35,000 Canadian dollars on this game lol
Although i hate pvp I do have to say maybe they should’ve showed some love in that area of the game, with that said I been playing for 9 years and can’t wait for the update 👍🏾
as a dark elf main the new chapter is very very exciting for me. i think its wise of you to take a break from the game though I've watched your videos a while and it seems you haven't been having fun in the game for a long time. When Im not having fun in a game i play different games
The game fucking sucks, and has for some time. The playerbase is comprised of addicts who don't realize they're slaves to a nearly 10-year-old game that's semi-functional most of the time. I hope more people break free of the spell. Good luck to you and best wishes for your future endeavours
Haha I hit that point a few years ago so I don't blame you bro! Plebs don't realize that a new class you have to pay for isn't going to help the game. Enjoy your freedom my man!
ffxiv can always need a new weebo. Tbf though spell crafting was never coming and I'm honestly surprised they managed a new class. What I don't understand is that ESO apparently makes money, decent money even if not ffxiv and WoW money, so why not support it more?
Lol, when I saw the roadmap my first thought is oh that's weird, why are they calling out a period specifically to fix bugs, shouldn't they always be fixing bugs? I mean, I have been a software developer for 30 years, I don't remember a time when I wasn't fixing or refactoring code. Then I realized, that's the period right after the chapter. They literally are releasing something they know will break the game and then acting like fixing it is content. You know what really get's me though, it's the lack of anything for pvp. Seriously, I started playing MMO's back in the EQ1 days and fell in love with this game DAoC. It was literally centered around pvp, Matt came from this, the 3 faction war, Cyrodill, siege weapons etc it all has influences from it. It's just shameful how knowing where this guy came from he would let this happen.
Honestly the devs have no backbone lol how ever the pre made group finder is pretty good to find random groups to do overland and trial content.. which seems to be overlooked
I quit about three months ago and am noticing I'm genuinely just happier day to day, probably because I'm not always at least a little pissed off any time I think of ESO. Here's hoping you get the same results.
Hey, I'd thought you'd quit years ago. Thus I was astonished when someone posted a link to this video in Discord. Two things. First, every game has a player life cycle but MMOs can have a uniquely bitter hospice phase due to the cultivated illusion of constant, ongoing investment. The genre relies upon this for monetization. It's manipulative in a near evil manner. Second, my gawd your video editing skills have developed to an astonishing and brilliant degree over the years. Ultimately this is the one investment in the game that will endure for you. Great vid!!

I really can't see how this would be the best chapter ever. What I can see tho, is why you don't want to make ESO content anymore. I quit my ESO+ after update 35 (after many years subscribed), and I got my brother to quit his (after paying for 2 years without actually playing) this Christmas. A couple of years ago I could've payed for a chapter containing nothing if they were just actually gonna fix the game but today I understand that there's no chance they'll ever do that. It's just so sad, elder scrolls has been my refuge since oblivion and when ESO came out I was so excited to get to be in this universe with other players. It breaks my heart that they're not giving this game the love that it deserves. But yay, a new class that'll break the game and bug fixes at the end of the year! 🤦 (I would be ok with copy+paste Morrowind if that meant they were prioritizing fixes, but yeah, as if...) Go and explore new fields, doggo, we'll follow along! ✨
Honestly this honesty earned a sub from me. I always thought the combat system was what grinded my gears with this game. It just felt bad to me. But now I realize it wasn't necessarily combat itself, but how everything was tying together.
Oh wow the giant bell end mushrooms we are all looking forward to that. Like honestly. I was expecting southern hammerfell but nope. They don't want to dig to deep in their pockets and pay more.
First expansion/chapter I'm not going to buy. I don't like the Morrowind aesthetic, and everything just feels like the same stuff each year with a new coat of paint.
The new chapter announcement was off and made me feel off, I do not like how they did it, it feels like they ignored a lot, it feels overall like a scam, I can't put my finger on why but its just.... yea
i feel lucky to know this from the yaar start,.they wont do anyhing beyond their casflow need .. nothig will change... now i know that i can quit for a long long time...ty zos really ty.
Same feeling, in essence nothing changed. Its like the usual chapter although back to multi year story like for the deadric war format and a new class No real new game feature not boudn to a new char Combat still the same, questing still the same, PVP still the same, overland still the same, shop still the same, game still look the same beside new zone assets, world interaction still the same, limitation and shortcoming are still the same Spellcrafting as hard it would be to balance (limited skill slot + combo exploit that are bound to happen) would have at least allowed for the first time to create your own skill from scratch new weapon although similar to new class in the end would have added the illusion of a new way to play for all characters Instead you have a new class which while neat = new alt = snail mount speed and its 6 month of daily grind+ obnoxiously long guild skill grind + sky shard grind + limited inv space and whatnot Class will be broken for sure on release like most stuff they released the last years but I doubt they will monetize a paywalled class skills Still funny despite how many people want to pay for class change token they still don't do it even if it means a reset of class skill XP as they stated issue about porting class skill experience The "Best update eva" brought us the standart blackwood package : story + 2 companions + zone with its pub dungeon and trial allbeit an area not seen since the days where 360p was considered as amazing resolution, the new feature being a class that really doesn't feel like a major change in how to play ESO
I get the impression that this kind of stuff was in development before their announcement of focusing more on adding core features to the game. That said, I’m not that immersed in the ESO community. I have just been playing the game casually since release and recently started playing more since getting an Xbox. I played on PC before and wow is my main game. With WoW, a similar thing happened where the community was hating the direction development was going in, but when this became clear to the team they already had content locked in the development pipeline. Obviously, they’re not gonna market their content as “we know you don’t REALLY want this, but here it is anyway”. Call it copium or whatever, sorry for actually enjoying games while still being able to wanting them to be better.
I've only been getting into ESO in the past year or so, so seeing the state of things is a bit sad for sure as I'm otherwise enjoying my experience :/ as a long time GW2 player I was looking for something new and thought I'd found it but so far I haven't been able to justify moving away from GW2 for it lol. I just wait for discounts I guess, at least they seem to do em occasionally
No gifting anymore killed the game , putting all good stuff in crown store , nothing to do when u beat the game ……I log on and instantly log out it’s just boring
That's what I've been saying to other ESO youtubers, the new class looks cool and all, and I am genuinely excited for that. But compared to Morrowind, Summerset and Elswyer, which we got more than just one major feature, and added the fact that previous chapters where we got Companions (which honestly, the Chapter's (Blackwood) value diminished because this new chapter and High Isle have Companions) and a card game as their main and ONLY features, the new chapter is not worth what they are asking for. I miss that feeling of buying a new chapter means like you're getting more than your money's worth.

Broakensoul is tough competition

There was no nostalgia here though nobody cared about morrowind
come on sawman we got to see the videos of the servers crashing when 1000 arcanists and sorcs are portling/streaking since the servers cant handle the load.

I rarely play ESO. I just log on to collect event tickets and log back off. ESO's cash cows n shills still make me cringe.. whenever I see them flex about getting scammed out of their money into buying a mount through a crown crate...

Vet overland would be awesome to beef up the difficulty and rewards and compensate for the power creep from sets, champion points, and companions.
The idea of making overland repeatable with hard difficulty is great the problem is that "coders" in ZOS are unable to balance anything and their last "masterpiece" was a mount without textures which hit production environment without noticing of QA test team. Which explains a lot. They are clowns supervised by monkeys LOL
Vet overland would bring me back to the game
@@rofo2107 1000% agree, it would be nice to have that with the bugs it would show they care about players in some way.
one tamerial kinda did this but got nerfed big time. eso is super ez which makes it boring.
Skill issue
I couldn’t have a full time job working 40+ hours a week and still find the time to grind for item sets and practice being good enough to keep up with good pvp players , I’d need to be unemployed
My most requested feature was to get rid of lvl scaling and to allow access to the craft bag without paying for it.
Office is empty because in IT world nowadays, working remotely is indeed a trend. It's all over the world now.
Lack of rewards always hits very hard
So much of hearing for 3 years "we can't add new class because of animation limitation"
The new class looks cool, but man...

@@hoesephthotson8969 anything thats new for that week. easy.
They will have to unplug very soon.
You people are unhinged and delusional it's painful to witness

I don't even pay attention to the content in these vids. I'm just here to experience the God-tier sawmanUK EDITING SKILLZ!
Same
I'll be honest , i'll probably buy this, eventually. But no shot i'll play this over Diablo 4 which launches just a couple days before Necrom.
I wouldn't be surprised that they are minor share holders too......*closes eyes*
When you have guys wearing their sunday couch clothes to a public appearance, with a knotted beard and out of bed hair, you know something is wrong ;) *I might be old school, but I don't appreciate low effort*
Seeing nefas lose his mind for a new class when they didnt mention rewards once was eye opening. You're the only content creator keeping it real on this.
Nefas knows where the money is. He'll never leave ESO.
Hugh Isle was the best chapter
4:08 damn they were doing good for awhile
had y'all fooled with griffin mounts, big cat mounts, actual variations to the design of the base mounts beyond re-skins
but they fell back into their old "just make the senche blue instead of white and give it orange paws. that's 40 dollars right there.
The eso sales sales pitch "wait until next year"
Yeah your feelings are similar to what I was thinking too. This dev team makes me want to vomit when they make videos like this.
Good luck.
i quit a year ago. this is just hate porn for me lol
In all seriousness though it's sad to see what this game has become. I had a Grand Master Crafter with every single trait researched and 16 max level characters. It would've been cool to jump back in a few years from now if the game turned around but they pretty much scrapped it into a slot machine. only mmo i ever played too
Finally, you made a video I actually enjoyed and agreed with. Good for you, I hope you never stream ESO again. See you in Diablo 4.
@SawmanUk you knew going into The Elder Scrolls Online MMORPG it's always pay to play, Elder Scrolls Online is my casino I have spent $35,000 Canadian dollars on this game lol
Dude how? I might pay 40 bucks for the Necrom chapter and already feel like it's way too much
Although i hate pvp I do have to say maybe they should’ve showed some love in that area of the game, with that said I been playing for 9 years and can’t wait for the update 👍🏾
as a dark elf main the new chapter is very very exciting for me. i think its wise of you to take a break from the game though I've watched your videos a while and it seems you haven't been having fun in the game for a long time. When Im not having fun in a game i play different games
He does play other games you just haven't bothered to watch his other youtube videos where he does.
@@hoesephthotson8969 what are you his boyfriend. how do you know what I watch or don't watch.
Arkanist + New chapter set = win
We all know it than they will nerf it Q4 like always
Of course
The game fucking sucks, and has for some time. The playerbase is comprised of addicts who don't realize they're slaves to a nearly 10-year-old game that's semi-functional most of the time. I hope more people break free of the spell. Good luck to you and best wishes for your future endeavours
WE STILL HAVE THE HEAVY ATTACK BUG.
Good recap, im freaking tired of the carebears on the reddit eso sub lmao
Gamers.jpg
Haha I hit that point a few years ago so I don't blame you bro! Plebs don't realize that a new class you have to pay for isn't going to help the game. Enjoy your freedom my man!
One of the best parts of my ESO experience was hearing you bash the game. I hope you come back, this year will have a ton of new content to insult.
ffxiv can always need a new weebo.
I quit in December, and feel exactly the same!!
Great vid!!
i was all like :
I was left to my own devices
Many days fell away with nothing to show
And the walls kept tumbling down
In the city that we love
Grey clouds roll over the hills
Bringing darkness from above
But if you close your eyes
Does it almost feel like nothing changed at all?
And if you close your eyes
Does it almost feel like you've been here before?
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?
We were caught up and lost in all of our vices
In your pose as the dust settled around us
And the walls kept tumbling down
In the city that we love
Grey clouds roll over the hills
Bringing darkness from above
But if you close your eyes
Does it almost feel like nothing changed at all?
And if you close your eyes
Does it almost feel like you've been here before?
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?
How am I gonna be an optimist about this?
Oh, where do we begin?
The rubble or our sins?

In the city that we love
Grey clouds roll over the hills
Bringing darkness from above

The advertising for this chapter is indeed cringe my eyebrows and forehead muscles are now stuck from cringing so hard someone help plz
Just do stand up my guy. I came for ESO but im staying for the the comedy 🤷😂🔥
🤦 (I would be ok with copy+paste Morrowind if that meant they were prioritizing fixes, but yeah, as if...)
Go and explore new fields, doggo, we'll follow along! ✨
My counterargument was preemptively destroyed @ 14:05
Sad to see you go, will resubscribe when you're back
Same feeling, in essence nothing changed. Its like the usual chapter although back to multi year story like for the deadric war format and a new class
No real new game feature not boudn to a new char
Combat still the same, questing still the same, PVP still the same, overland still the same, shop still the same, game still look the same beside new zone assets, world interaction still the same, limitation and shortcoming are still the same
Spellcrafting as hard it would be to balance (limited skill slot + combo exploit that are bound to happen) would have at least allowed for the first time to create your own skill from scratch
new weapon although similar to new class in the end would have added the illusion of a new way to play for all characters
Instead you have a new class which while neat = new alt = snail mount speed and its 6 month of daily grind+ obnoxiously long guild skill grind + sky shard grind + limited inv space and whatnot
Class will be broken for sure on release like most stuff they released the last years but I doubt they will monetize a paywalled class skills
Still funny despite how many people want to pay for class change token they still don't do it even if it means a reset of class skill XP as they stated issue about porting class skill experience
The "Best update eva" brought us the standart blackwood package : story + 2 companions + zone with its pub dungeon and trial allbeit an area not seen since the days where 360p was considered as amazing resolution, the new feature being a class that really doesn't feel like a major change in how to play ESO
I dunno, I can't wait to get a horse that has cookies and pancakes glued to it.
Your comment about the new class being a monetization scheme certainly goes along with ZOS talking about new content being a tentpole.
They can't even fix what we have now. It's just sad. I can't wait till D4 comes out.
Evolving, just backwards😂
