@@jamesstevens2362 I’ve realised now that this was what probably got me into electronic music too. My dad had it in his collection and I listened to it a lot as a kid in the 80s.

Ah - someone who forgot the basics of buying new tape. Always (never forget) "always" dub your new tapes, to then DUB a second from, which you then use dailly in whatever system you use in the house/home plus maybe make another, for the car with it's dust and auto reversing heads, that love to eat iron oxide before breakfast, whereupon you then REDO another dub, from the original DUB (not the original "bought tape" that you also now rewind from end to end and replace into it's long term storage. NEVER - EVER use the original bought tape, as the one and only, or you will - (as you did) wear it out, to then have - nothing. I still have my original store-bought TAPE version of this album. I never used it as a daily, and only ever did a re-run after I discovered the 1st dubbed tape had self destructed after my Son put it ino a portable player he had, and it unspooled. Thus a new master dub was required. I also polished my boot up his kyber pass (ass) to prove the point I always told him about, NEVER EVER use any of my originals and NEVER EVER take my master dub. He did the later that once and just that once - only.
The nostalgiaaaa 😂 I'm 27 and for as long as I can remember I've known these songs because my sister & I grew up playing our nanna's vinyl collection whenever we'd visit her - this was our fave! 👏🏻 Edit: I just remembered this is where Mouldy Old Dough comes from! I still sing that whenever I find my bread's gone mouldy 🤣
very nice ! Dad bought this lp (AU version) in the mid 70's and these covers were my first introduction - at around 10 years old - to many of these early 70's hit songs. I wonder what became of these performers, including the uncredited very tasteful drum/bass/guitar players ? Thanks for posting !
I think Electric Coconut were a real band, maybe session players. They also recorded a 2nd Album caller "Ticker Tape". Its not as good though. I post that one soon
My dad had the same LP too. We used to enjoy Saturday nights around the record player listening to songs. This album was a favourite. My daughter now enjoys Mouldy Old Dough and Popcorn (she’s got my weird taste in music haha).

Had this album when I was a kid (I'm now 61) and I listened to it to death....and I still love it.....thanks for sharing!
Same! It was the first record I had as a kid. I’ve been into electronic music ever since. Hearing it again is wonderful!

Russians know this melody thanks to the old cartoon "Well, Just You Wait!" about wolf and rabbit.

@@imp57 Вообще-то в "Ну, погоди" буквально сборник самой актуальной и модной на то время музыки, включая зарубежную. Оригинальных песен там мало.
