You are my personal internal voice for how to process, frame, and share information. Master of your craft. So impressively and effortlessly articulate.
Never would have thought I would have seen this guy on here LMAO. He's the reason why i studied software development and earning a degree in December. He has impacted my life so much and to think that if had not started a youtube channel my life would have been completely different.
I found Jarvis on my recc. from a video he did with Danny Gonzalez and man the commentary channels are so diverse, from Jarvis, Danny, ChadChad, Drew Gooden, Kurtis Conner! They all have their unique style and all provide us with the best of laughs!
I would love to hear Colin and Samir chat to the vlog brothers. About being long-term RUclipsrs, but also exploring stuff beyond but staying on the platform. Hearing Jarvis talk about patreon made me think about it.
This interview was dope! Been watching Jarvis for a while now, and I feel like I was one of his viewers that was brought in by the software stuff, but stayed for the laughs. 😂 Seems like the natural thing to do is evolve your content over time. Life is short, might as well make what you want.
This was one of the most encouraging episodes I've seen yet. I connected so much with Jarvis and how he views content creation / certain aspects of his story. Especially whenever he mentioned he felt like he could never actually become a creator. Thanks for this episode guys. It's exactly what I needed.
I love Jarvis's content and his personality. It was great to hear so much about his journey. As I'm trying to grow my own channel, it is really helpful to see what that process can look like and how it can feel as well.
I remember watching Jarvis order a pizza with Python and it really made me curious about apis and programming. Now I’m an engineering student! Thanks Jarvis🎉
Love this episode. It's so great to get a look into Jarvis's process and to hear a little bit about y'all's perspective as a channel nearing 1 million.
Been a fan of Jarvis since around September of last year and I admire him so much! His intellect, work ethic, and passion for his craft is off the charts! Amazing RUclipsr!! Enjoyed this interview!
I based my RUclips journey around the Jarvis Johnson Trojan Horse Method. Bring people in with informative tech videos, encourage them to stay because of the personality. This video came exactly at the perfect time. Thanks!
As someone who used to do improv comedy, I really appreciate this discussion! It's so intriguing and something I've thought about. Seeing "behind the scenes" is terribly intriguing.
man, that Harmful If Swallowed bees bit was the first thing I ever bought on iTunes. this was a great interview! so cool seeing Jarvis on here and listening to his experience on RUclips it's really relatable
Hugely f✨cking valuable interview. SO relatable. I found Jarvis to be so grounded, authentic, and honest. I learned a ton that feels equal parts reassuring, helpful, practical, and realistic. THANK YOU.
I knew VOD meant Video On Demand but I had to look up what it meant specifically for Twitch: A VOD (Video on Demand) is an archive of content previously streamed live on Twitch.
I’m about half way through this podcast and it’s great so far. My only issue is the audio! It appears that the noise gate is too aggressive and it’s really taking away from the listening experience.
Often looked up to Jarvis when he transitioned from having a job, to shooting the shit on RUclips. 😇 Not to place him on too high a pedestal! Really great work on this honest conversation, guys. 😃
I actually started watching Jarvis in his Software Video days, when I myself was just starting to become a Software Dev, and I really enjoyed that type of content. I was a little disappointed to see him pivoting, but I soon came around on it and now I really enjoy Jarvis' content.
Ngl i first thought "dam 1 hours a long time, will my attention span last that long?" Cus recently i just have relatively shorter attention span lmao but icb im 40 minutes in already whew loved this!
guys, would you do a video analyzing some videoessays as... idk, patrick h willems, just write or similars? like how similar they apply the "formula" (finding a niche, bulding an audience, etc, etc) compared to other genres of youtube and/or youtubers that doesnt make the same content at all?
The passion vs business discussion at around 57:00 is super fascinating. Can the job of being a creator satisfy both your career AND creative goals simultaneously?
I know it is a 10 out of 10, but I Loved this interview. Jarvis is the kind of creator I want to learn more from, because he represents the “creator middle class” we are all likelier to hit. Only 0.00001% of us will be the next MrBeast.
100% agreed. Samir talks about MrBeast like he's the holy grail but actually imho interviews with people who have more relatable worries and life tracks is wayyyy more helpful. (Not saying I didn't love the MrBeast interview bc I definitely did!)
I look up to Jarvis so much because I also studied CompSci and he gives me a lot of hope as an aspiring creator myself. This was so enlightening hearing him talk about his journey
Time and time again creators talking about the fear of uploading to their main channel. I'm seeing it as a flaw in how RUclips is currently structured. Sure, people can make as many channels as they want, but the systems... even in their current state... have the capability to connect viewers with content. It's odd to me that the onus is placed on the creator to perfectly separate their creative work into groups by making multiple channels. Otherwise the content fails. If they do separate it properly then the content succeeds. That suggests to me that it's not the quality of the video but an issue with how the system judges what gets promoted. Maybe there needs to be some type of AI/ML based grouping system along with the concept of creators rather than channels. Allowing creators to group their uploads that people can subscribe to as well as computer generated groups of content from multiple creators.
The algorithm dropped Jarvis Johnson Gold! into my recs, probably from the Kurtis Connor I was watching as well as video essays. I don’t use TikTok or Twitter so it’s a fun way to learn about the weird trends on those platforms lol
thanks so much for having me!
Jarvis = 🐐
You’re so cool Jarvis 🙂
Jarvis 🥰🥰🥰
very epic, go jackets

when I started my computer science degree I used to watch him. He set the foundation for a lot of people's computer science degree videos.

Man, Jarvis kinda seems like one of those tortured soul comedians. I feel like he is sooo funny, but he is also so hard on himself!
Oh, he definitely is. Check out Sad Boyz Podcast he does with Jordan Adika, it’s pretty revealing
i completely agree, and he sounds like he had a bit of a rough childhood 😢
I found Jarvis on my recc. from a video he did with Danny Gonzalez and man the commentary channels are so diverse, from Jarvis, Danny, ChadChad, Drew Gooden, Kurtis Conner! They all have their unique style and all provide us with the best of laughs!
Why did you put the same name in there three times?
@@Cera_01 what name? I put Danny twice that’s all
@@JaredHathaway -Kurtis-
@@Cera_01 I said Kurtis once
I would love to hear Colin and Samir chat to the vlog brothers. About being long-term RUclipsrs, but also exploring stuff beyond but staying on the platform. Hearing Jarvis talk about patreon made me think about it.
Jarvis does a great job at calling the BS on so much content out there in a genuine and light-hearted manner. Kudos 🌟
This interview was dope! Been watching Jarvis for a while now, and I feel like I was one of his viewers that was brought in by the software stuff, but stayed for the laughs. 😂

Never expected Jarvis to be here but i'm very excited to listen! Colin and Samir's interviews are always very in-depth and engaging to listen to

It's about time. Jarvis is big time. Super intelligent dude
i remember watching jarvis’ tech videos and falling in love with his personality. he deserves what he has so much, he is incredibly entertaining!
I remember watching Jarvis order a pizza with Python and it really made me curious about apis and programming. Now I’m an engineering student! Thanks Jarvis🎉
Love the channel, so cathartic to listen to other RUclipsrs and the process.
I’m so glad of all people to interview Jarvis because he is one of the best, most genuine, and wisest in his niche
Jarvis is one of my favorite commentary youtubers, this was a great interview
Love this episode. It's so great to get a look into Jarvis's process and to hear a little bit about y'all's perspective as a channel nearing 1 million.
Been a fan of Jarvis since around September of last year and I admire him so much! His intellect, work ethic, and passion for his craft is off the charts! Amazing RUclipsr!! Enjoyed this interview!
When he asked Colin and Samir how they feel about almost reaching 1 Million Subscribers, he was a real one for that!
Going to check this guy out!! Thanks for always getting interesting creators on
Keep it on the low low but he has a second channel "Jarvis Johnson Gold " for premium viewer, not youtube premium, but premium people :p
I based my RUclips journey around the Jarvis Johnson Trojan Horse Method. Bring people in with informative tech videos, encourage them to stay because of the personality.
This video came exactly at the perfect time. Thanks!

**Wonderfully intriguing 😁
really really enjoyed this one. so many great things to pull from it. especially love these journey stories
man, that Harmful If Swallowed bees bit was the first thing I ever bought on iTunes. this was a great interview! so cool seeing Jarvis on here and listening to his experience on RUclips it's really relatable
YES IVE BEEN WATCHING JARVIS FOREVER!!! Thanks for interviewing him! Can’t wait to watch this in full
i've been watching Jarvis since his third video. super cool that you guys brought him on
Hugely f✨cking valuable interview. SO relatable. I found Jarvis to be so grounded, authentic, and honest. I learned a ton that feels equal parts reassuring, helpful, practical, and realistic. THANK YOU.
Just discovered Jarvis this month and now this video pops up in my feed. Awesome!
Colin & Samir, you guys never disappoint with the amazing interviews. I'll be here one day
Ive watched jarvis since he was a tech youtuber and im so glad you guys got him on your show
Loved this episode. Jarvis is an awesome dude!
This was actually so insightful. I’m gonna rewatch but y’all had some great points that totally felt relatable to how I feel about content. ❤
Everyone was dialed in this episode. The flow of conversation was great. Good shit.
Nice video guys, felt this was a bit weirdly edited, but still good! Thanks
The cuts sometimes feel too abrupt or hurried. Just my personal opinion. Still a great video. Thanks for your content.
Get Drew Gooden Next !!!
My favorite thing about Jarvis’ story is seeing someone who’s nice and smart get to be creative and do things on their own terms in a positive way.
Jarvis 🥰.
So warm and comforting. Definitely my vibe/ambiance ♥️
I knew VOD meant Video On Demand but I had to look up what it meant specifically for Twitch: A VOD (Video on Demand) is an archive of content previously streamed live on Twitch.
I came to Jarvis for the tech and stayed for the comedy, happy to see the progress 💪🏽
Great episode and Collin back again with the legendary Colorado sweatshirt
Im not seeing enough comments explaining what VOD means, as in im not seeing any pls i cant remember what it stands for dhdhdh
Video on demand
I’m about half way through this podcast and it’s great so far. My only issue is the audio! It appears that the noise gate is too aggressive and it’s really taking away from the listening experience.

JARVIS! I'm still loving Lord's Scheme.
Since you made it! Why's there only a reupload now?
Love these videos! They are so encouraging as I go through this RUclips journey.
I like the comparison of the commentary channels to the likes of the Daily Show or Last Week Tonight.
How are these interviews always so gooooood! 👏🏽 Also soooooooooooo close to 1M!
I actually started watching Jarvis in his Software Video days, when I myself was just starting to become a Software Dev, and I really enjoyed that type of content. I was a little disappointed to see him pivoting, but I soon came around on it and now I really enjoy Jarvis' content.
Colin and Samir, GOLD????
Almost at 1 million subs boys you got this!
“Can we just remove the Jarvis from these videos” oh man does that EVER encapsulate a feeling - this is such a great watch, thanks y’all!
I remember watching Jarvis and when he made a video saying he quit his job. I’m so happy how successful he is now.
One video of Jarvis I'll never forget is where he goes over his resume and say "so basically a business card" XD XD XD
Jarvis is the BEST! I remember when he was still working at Patreon.
love the warmer colors on this one. great interview as well
Ngl i first thought "dam 1 hours a long time, will my attention span last that long?" Cus recently i just have relatively shorter attention span lmao but icb im 40 minutes in already whew loved this!

The intros are top tier!!
So great to see y'all interview him!!
Top tier content. Y’all deserve 1M
Exactly the video I need now to Kickstarter my own
Definitely want more of this convo. Jarvis is awesome. What happened with the ending? Super abrupt....
Agreed, amazing interview and so grateful to all involved AND the ending was awk AF 🤣
When I saw Jarvis I was shocked since I literally watch all of his channels

Glad to see some great production and discussion from the interviewers, you two mash so well with Jarvis!! Thanks for the great content
Multiple stories at the start worked on me, intro got me hooked, very nicely done

Cool episode. Thanks for sharing.
Watching this while grinding Leetcode. Thank you Jarvis!
Cool seeing one of my favorite creators :)
