Oldsmar Working Structure Fire Response

- At 1707 hours units were toned out for a reported structure fire at 352 Ventura Circle in Oldsmar. Multiple callers advised a house had been hit by lightning and had smoke coming from the garage. First arriving units confirmed smoke showing from the garage and activated the working fire file.

Safety harbor Engine 53 is also seen responding to a separate call

Must have been the fire chiefs house to get 4 chief vehicles, 1 ladder, 1 rescue, 2 heavy rescue, and 6 engine companies to respond on first alarm.

Wow thats nice usually down where i live in southeast florida in margate for a regular structure fire tone out they would dispatch 3 or 4 medics 2 or 3 quints 1 engine depends on the area and 1 batallion and 1 supervisor

That's a lot of trucks for a 1st alarm
All with the exception of Squad 51 were part of the 1st alarm. Squad 51 was added for the working fire. Pinellas counties response plans are absolutely over rated and ridiculous. If this actually went 2nd alarm there would have been another 7 units roughly
@@AFire54 A 1st alarm in Pinellas County for a residential structure is 3 engines, 1 truck, 1 squad, 1rescue if they have, and a DC. The staff officers add themselves to the call. That was a 2nd alarm.
@@erickfuchs9234 I know the amount of units definitely justify a 2nd alarm but at no time did command request one. She only requested a working fire file. Now the fire that largo is currently on July 3rd 2115 hours is 2nd alarm
@@AFire54 a working fire file should only bring up an ALS unit, and Sunstar, Law Enforcement, Duke Energy, and whatever Gas Company provides service. The only other thing is if one of the callers gave a different address and got a different response, I’ve been to several calls where we came around the block and got dirty looks from everyone already on scene.
@@erickfuchs9234 yea this whole thing was just odd. I would ask people at Oldsmar some details but unfortunately I don’t have the connections there like I use too.

As a first responder when you get to a red light you gotta find a way to around the vehicle At the red light, if he causes an accident whn you are using the horn, the aparatus engineer is reponsible,

its because the house probally had a electric vehicle, and there was a fire which can spread so thats why they called in so much personel
Was this a mutual aid thing considering some of the rigs are white?
Pinellas county is made up several individual fire districts and Pinellas county uses closest unit response. The white trucks in this video were a mix of palm harbor fire and Dunedin Fire
