I lost my job as a software developer almost 3 months ago and I still can't find a new one. RUclipsrs must say that there is job and that it is worth spending this year learning programming (backend) because they offer teaching courses, so if they tell the truth they would lost potential clients ;/

Were you entry level ? How many Years of experience did you have ?
And how long were you at your company before they let you go ?

I agree with much of what you said. I am currently self learning The Odin Project. I commented on your video concerning that. As far as "the trades" go they are not north of six figures as jobs. I was a journeyman Ironworker/Foreman I made good money but definitely well below six figures. As a company owner I did make $110,000 one year but things started to dry up for small non-minority owned businesses in my sector so it was back to working for someone again. I was disabled back in 2010 due to an illness. I am leveling off and noticed the youtube videos on web development and it gave me an idea to get back in the job market but I am no longer strong and able to do Ironwork anymore but could definitely handle a programming job. Well that's my life sorry message was so long. Your video struck a chord with me that's all. Thanks

Yeah, yet another. Has anybody ever built a complex app ? Like proper mobile or desktop large enterprise one. Multitude of modules , third party dependencies which have their own server infrastructure and other complexities to operate. Lots of configurations , configs for third party. Security certificates for code signing, push notifications for dev and for prod separately. Necessity to do setup on a server side so that some features such as universal links work on the client. Just to name a few thing necessary to know for a senior dev apart from writing code. And that is only for the client side not even mentioning backend. We are already glorified engineers writing prompts specifically if you follow declarative paradigm. In the near and even mid term (definitely on a 10 year horizon) future AI is going to be yet another abstraction layer for glorified prompt operator which we currently are anyways.

Bro, sam has already reached AGI at Open A.I but they need more power hence they asked for 7T to build the next CPU. Your job and anything software will be gone in 5 years top.
