Emergency services respond to concern for person's safety by the river Wensum in Norwich.

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service's Technical Rescue Unit towing the boat and rescue sled, from Carrow Fire station were using a vehicle from Thetford - 'THE S0'. Sprowston and Earlham Fire Stations each sent a rescue pump and crew. Ambulance and police attended, and were joined by a first responder from Norfolk Accident Rescue Service.
The incident centred on a footpath alongside the river by Whitefriars Bridge, close to Norwich Cathedral.
Road traffic was allowed to pass, though the footpath was closed to the public whilst emergency services assisted the person concerned.
