I’m truly devastated & disgusted by secretary blinken’s statement. I’m truly, truly understanding now we’re definitely not standing for truth and justice. This’s all lies what you’re doing is throwing Ethiopia under the bus because of our own other interests. We should never talk about democracy & justice! 125 million people are not going through be told to starve and looking for a handout strategically made poor. No!
Question: Do you mean by what you are saying to cut off the water to Egypt? I would like to tell you that it is a matter of life or death for the Egyptians because this river is one of the rivers that have been flowing for millions of years and on which the Egyptian people depend completely. You are talking about democracy on the one hand and on the other hand you are saying cut off the water to the Egyptian people and make them die of thirst and there is no power on this earth that can do this. Your purpose is as clear as the sun.
@@Ahmedahmed-xm7vi Who you're to claim hegemony over Nile water which is shared water among all Nile riparian countries ? You trumpet you're dying of thirst if Ethiopia uses Nile water. Do you mean Egyptians live is precios more than ethiopians?Do we have to starve to death for Egyptians to live in luxury ? Inconceivable at all. Be assured other Nile riparian countries using their equal right will alsi build dams of any purpose. ✌️🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹
Egypt is asking Ethiopia unfair and very manipulative agreements. While Egypt telling Ethiopia can’t use its own water resources within Ethiopian boundaries. While Ethiopia for years have been starving and millions have died due to Egypt being an obstacle by holding 1929 colonial era agreements between Egypt & Britain. Mind you no one consulted Ethiopians they can’t use there own water. This absolutely unfair imagine while Ethiopia struggles to provide to 70% of its population electricity Egypt has 100% electricity coverage. While Ethiopia struggles to feed its people continue asking food aid Egypt has doubled its food exports. It’s unacceptable whether Egypt or united states to force to sign illegal agreements. I’m ashamed and disappointed as a United States citizen my country make a statement like colonial era forcing an independent country to forfeit its resources to benefit others. This will lead only not only other African countries feel a consequential decision USA is committing. Very wrong in the 21st century demanding a country while it’s people starve not to share equally the water resources.
What I understood from your words is that Ethiopia is a poor people starving to death and that the water must be cut off from Egypt so that they die and Ethiopia can live, despite the fact that it is a transcontinental river. Egypt is one of the countries in the world that suffers the most from water scarcity and the Blue Nile represents 90% of Egypt’s water share, and it is not Egypt’s fault that Ethiopia does not export food, despite the fact that it is a country drowning in rainwater and that it has not established power stations like Egypt. The Ethiopian governments do not exploit resources properly like Egypt, or there are operations to loot the state. I see that your words, like the electronic committees, are directed only against Egypt.
Your comment is full of false information mixed with the supermacist ideology of the Ethiopians! The so-called dam is built in the wrong place and will never generate the amount of electricity that your corrupt government has promised! The building of the dam started on April 2011 and should have been completed by 2018 generating 7 GW of electricity! None of these goals has been acheievd and will not be achieved not because of Egypt but because of your own hands and minds! Egypt with Tanzania, both Nile basin countries, started building a dam in Tanzania in 2019! It is almost completed and is generating electricty according to the planned schedule! The Ethiopian dam has not been built to serve the interstes of the Ethiopian people, which as Egyptians wish them the best because it is a simple equation: as long as our neighbours are good, we are good! The Ethiopian dam is an old political project and its only objective has always been to cut the Nile water from flowing to Egypt! This will never happen!

A country enslaved or served every empire from the Roman Empire to America (Roman, otoman, British, and Now America) has no moral value in talking about another country. Egypt contributes nothing to the world except how to serve those in power. Did nothing to neighboring countries like Libya, sudan, Gaza rather than talking about East Africa, better to continue your service to powerful countries. Ethiopia has right to use her own water.

ولو توليد الكهرباء هو الهدف مصر ليس لديها مانع
لان توليد الكهرباء يتطلب تدفق الماء من بوابات السد وهذا لا يضر مصر
في المرة المقبلة اكذب جيدا
