Reminds me of when my local pub had a beer and cider festival. They had a hog roast with apple sauce in baps. Went so well with the strong Kent cider which I think was around 8%!
Absolutely belting, will be giving this a try this weekend Andy mate, looks absolutely amazing, keep up the great work and stay safe and well always matey.
Andy, that looked delicious, loved that you also had sprouts with your veg, as I love them, I am going to try this recipe, happy new year to you and your family 🎉
Pork & Apple a match made in heaven. Cheap cuts like pig cheeks & belly pork slices my fave, proper brown em first then braise in cider for at least 3 hours. I like to chuck a diced apple in too, with leeks, celery, carrots, parsnip, & a bit of smoky bacon, but there's loads of ways to do it that work... Loads.
Yum yeah love pork, so going to do this at weekend, so simple easy to follow good English recipes Andy, thank you, top chef! X Hope your family and animals are well God Bless X
I have had a slow cooker for about 15 years, think I made scouse with it once ( from Liverpool) that look amazing, thanks for that. Searching the cupboards now to find it, as we speak. Just hope the ex didn’t get it in the divorce, probably not she only knew how to operate the can opener.
Looks lovely Andy, might try it,but it’s a lot for one person (Me)Take a look at a Pernil recipe,it’s Puerto Rican slow roasted pork shoulder, and it’s delicious,I think you would really like it.
Mate, yesss, the pig is king and affordable too🐷👑! Proper Trencherman tucker. Good job, Andy👨🍳. Only thing I'd do diff is use me pressure cooker, then strain and reduce the cooking broth and add the cream to that.
Very tasty Andy my late friend usedtoboul ham ina pan and put cloves in it the old fashioned way smelt wonderful, but slow cookers have evolved now like you we are liberated from the panlol and watching the water levels
@@fatandy you have to cover the ham in honey and add your cloves when you vhave soaked the ham over night it's a right old performance 😂 you have to score the skin inoderto get the cloves in and also the honey has to soak in it's something that was done years back but now we have modern cooking appliances so things like this go out obsolete don't they lol it's like the old fashioned steak and kidney pudding you can't but them making them is a labour of love
@@fatandy yes that would be really good .that would bring back some memories of my friend pat who passed away a few years back ,friends for thirty years we were ican smell her homemade ham now 😂
