Fun fact: in one of the pilot school missions or in a race, you can actually steal the apache. You have to have the airstrip out by Area 69. You can land in the hanger and run out to allow the hanger doors to close. Youll be prompted to return to the vehicle along with a countdown before the mission fails. I had like 2 or 3 seconds left on the timer as the doors finally closed. And thats how i got the apache without getting gold in all flight school.

If its the pilot test with the jet on the runway and having t take off as soon as you lift of the ground pick up the landing gear with one of the sticks took a 2 month before i found out

The driving mechanics are trash in this game. Flying helicopters are alright. The hydra is ass.

Customized the controls or keybinds to your liking. Then practice and try to maneuver the heli until you feel it is comfortable. Then just play/practice.

You don't need to do anything to unlock brown thunder, it's like the vigilante mission, available from the start of the game. However brown thunder is exclusive to this helicopter (hunter) which you can steal from area 69(but you'll get a 5 star wanted level) or you can get it on the verdant meadows airstrip after getting gold on all flight school tests.
