Sol has probably been the most fun I've had playing a fighting game character.
Dustloops are hands down one of the most satisfying things to nail.
I'm a fighting game noob and just recently started to play this game. This is such a great game. I feel like the best fighting games and the most balanced ones that people are still playing now are GGXR2 and T7. Too bad this game isn't on EVO main stage this year. Hope the best Japanese players still go to the side tournaments in EVO otherwise they never travel.
There's just something satisfying about watching sin and sol matches.

Really cool match. Sajam's analysis always makes me feel stupid. I feel like he's able to see so much more than me and understand every decision each player makes. I think that's why I'm bad at fighting games I can't make quick decisions like the way he sees each match I feel lost when I play sometimes like I lose focus. How do I have Sajam focus and quick decision making during a match like that?
Sajam is a professional commentator dude, don't feel dumb.
What a lot of people will tell you is that you can't really analyze a match like Sajam while you're already in it. What's a lot more helpful if you don't have a lot of specific plans for different situations is to focus more on mindsets and general things. "Is this move I'm using safe at this range?" If its not, just don't use it at that range. "He keeps doing x combo on me and it does a lot of damage." Combos are scary but they're dependent on the first hit, so just figure out how to deal with that, keep out of range or hit them before they hit you with it.
Strategy in a fight is less about "you should've DPed, x move at this specific point" and more like "he's cancelling all of his midscreen combos into bandit bringer, use your DP more".
Thats why you need to rewatch your matches, not to pick yourself apart and figure out how you couldve done it perfectly, but to see what general things you can work on.

@@thegarisson4975 No problem, i feel like a lot of people who struggle with making intentional descisions in a fighting game just need to start from a point of "what will keep me safe in a match" until enough combat knowledge is acquired where you can see where you need to make informed decisions.
And that takes a while, but playing to keep yourself safe is a lot more fun than getting beat into the ground, lol.
I really recommend making a flowchart on paper of how to approach each situation. This is especially helpful for offensive pressure. Don’t be afraid to get too complex just come up with lots of ideas and spend some time in the lab figuring out the pros and cons of each.
George K. this. Flowchart letting you know all your options in certain situations are the best things you can do. A lot of people will say otherwise such as tekken players but that's more of the western ideology. Japanese players also know all their options in every situation
