3:32 “It’s hard to believe...”
Yeah it is hard to believe. Especially since the median salary for a senator is $174,000. And maybe lead with the fact that they only stay there 2-3 nights a week. Instead of acting like it’s not just a crash pad.
Also, it’s annoying and insulting that you think anyone would care about this.
Carter Collins Haha, that makes sense.
"Oh no look at the people who make 167,000 dollars a year"
That's really not alot of money
Tbf if they live in Washington probably like 130k of that goes to rent
Matt Ruppert bro r u FR right now
Matt Ruppert lol
hunter marlow what’s wrong with that? Something called saving
If this is real, it shows a real inability of these guys to fix a problem, improve something, or exercise critical thinking.
How do you figure?
It's real
YES!!!
Guys really live in apartments like this and don't see any issue
it's probably super cheap so they spend nothing on it, has beds and can cook if they really need to, but they probably just go there to sleep now. Used to be a frat house now just a sleep house for 8 hours a day
I swear I thought I was watching the onion for a sec
Honestly this is how I want all politicians to live.
Ok, these guys are definitely not corrupt and stealing money.
I really hope that’s sarcasm
Wow! I can relate to these senators so much! Wow!
I'm Kidding
Folks in this comment section say they "only" stay there 3 nights per week like it means something. I mean, 3 nights is a lot. I wouldn't spend 3 minutes in that environment, let alone 3 nights. That's disgusting 🤮🤮🤮
I seriously can’t tell if this is a joke or legit...
Me too...
Looks like humiliation ritual loool hahaha i guess they are part of some mad fraternity😂😂
@@The_Tiffster it is a prank

💀 woman can you not
Metrosexual: "a young, urban, heterosexual male with liberal political views, an interest in fashion, and a refined sense of taste"
It was an exaggeration. i.e. "Oh, a gel. You must be in to fashion"
he should just put her on the defensive by immediately coming out as Homosexual
"you hate diversity????"
her: er um oops, i'm so sorry!@#
I don't see the issue
@@therearenoshortcuts9868 No one's saying anything about being homosexual.
@@03Ryen
well maybe they should
it's 2019 lol
They're clearly just a bunch of old guys wanting to relive their college years, it's why they called it "Omega House" and seem excited to show everyone, they choose to live like this because it gives them nostalgia.
I think this is a hoax. They probably live in the house, but it isn't under those conditions. Notice that they only show the one room, which they must have set up for the 'joke'. If this was real, the Board of Health would have something to say about it. The sad thing is that there are many people who do live under similar conditions, and it is nothing to laugh at.
why would the board of health give two shits about a house?
there are plenty of people living in shittier places... i don't see them going around citing them for having a "dirty" house. >.>
It took me a minute to realise that this is actually real and not the onion
If you can’t keep your own room clean, how are you expected to keep the country clean.
Is this what your mother told you? Are you a polititian now?
There are people that live like this or worse every day. Is it just me or is it a bit condescending that these guys & the news are acting like this is so modest and salt-of-the-earth
It completely downplays the struggle of people who dont have mansions to go to the other 4 days of the week.
They mightve lived there at one time...30 years ago.
Totally believe 3 congressmen making ove $100k a year live in an apartment.
"What makes it work?"
"Friends."
He's right, connections are everything in politics and media.
this is where they bring prostitutes. Not their real house
It's where they stay the three nights a week they're in Washington. Watch the freaking video before commenting.

For everyone saying this is fake, I can confirm they actually live there (or atleast someone high up does)
This obscure townhome has an unusual amount of law enforcement activity in the form of SUV convoys and capitol police stationed out front during the week.
I’ve never personally seen the senators come and go, but I’ve witnessed and unusual amount of police activity (like convoys), throughout the years.
It's legitimate. These guys are obviously more equal than we others. It looks like they haven't forgotten too avoid sleeping in any beds with sheets. Bravo Comrades

It makes some level of sense that these guys would put minimal effort into their living quarters that they probably don't spend much time in, but gosh I wish they'd take better care of their nutritional needs. Healthy body makes for a healthy mind!

Most of the time they’re cheating on their wives with staffers and stay in nice DC hotels.
Eliot Spitzer can recommend a few...
Well in the Philippines senators have mansions, haciendas , private islands and underground castles.. You know where the money came from.
This was only made to advertise for the show 😂😂how much did amazon pay you guys?
you mean "paid" as this was in 2013?
besides, to me it is totally believable. i have a clean nice home with my wife and slum with 2 high-school friends downtown. its much like this. just guys being guys. akin to that locker talk everyone was defending on the other side of the isle...
At 0:08 that stove is not ancient, as a matter of fact it’s a High End $$$ commercial stove. LOL 😂
That chair at 0:07 (ironic) is like the chair in a recent James Bond movie in which Bond was strapped to the chair and someone used a rope with a big knot on the end to swing underneath the chair to hit the family jewels. 😲
An actual torture technique used in some places..
They can’t take care of their house that they’re in 3 days a week and we expect them to take care of a country. Sounds scary.
i love how they put this video out to somehow relate to us, young people.
“See kids, your Senate Majority Leader leaves his underwear on the floor, too.”
You’re right miss reporter, it IS hard to believe that such prominent politicians actually stay here.
In the words of Jordan Peterson- “CLEAN YOUR ROOM!”
Th frat houses I’ve been to aren’t ever too messy unless just had a party or will have one. They cleaned spotless within 2 days unless cleaners come earlier. During pandemic much much cleaner(friends live and took pictures)
They should have mentioned earlier in the video that they only live there part time.
No need to say it. We all know.
for everyone complaining they don't live like this, the video mentions at the end they only live there 3 nights a year.
They made them Republicans as to not shed bad light on dems.
Bluntski if anything it makes the republicans look better cause they keep the place cleaner than that mess
Not surprising. They all have to maintain a home in their district + cover rent in DC. Even on a senator salary, that would be pretty tough.
Reporter: What makes it work
Senator: “you’re friends”
Truth: “drugs and hookers”
"Some hookers, and cocaine!"
Genius.
Utility goes up
Rent goes up
Pull one of those records and it opens up the door to their real house
