Numerous salient characteristics bind the Igbos within a cultural context. The Igbo language and dialects can be understood by SE and groups in Delta, Rivers, Edo, and traces in Kogi, Benue, Cross Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa. The denial of Igbo identity is like a British saying he is not British but Anglo-Saxxon. The evidence suggests that most of the current inhabitants of the area known as SE came from various places. The Igala people migrated to the areas known as the SE and Delta states today. Identity and ethnicity must be understood from predominant and salient cultural similarities from what science understands, not emotions and motions.

Our people fought against Idu presently called Bini. The incesant Invasion of Anioma by Idu led Anioma to unite and fought against Idu, and they were able to contain Idu even when Idu aligned with European slave traders to invade Anioma of which Idu was compensated with bronze ore. Our history is replete with heroic stories.

Politics of divide and rule which caused Igbo speaking people to be put in states with other tribes is the major cause of people denying being Igbo. U can imagine someone from Egbema in Rivers state whose extended family land is across the boundary in Egbema Imo state denying being Igbo simply because he has found himself in another state. These are same people oh! Then Ndoki and Obigbo people saying they are not Igbos when its just the river separating them from their brothers in Abia state. Delta state is another one. So Imagine all these people are put back into the South Eastern states, would anyone of them deny being Igbo? I understand the Delta Igbo person of Ukwuani or Anioma better than I understand the Ohafia or Afikpo person of Abia and Ebonyi states respectively, yet they never say they are not Igbo. State creation caused all this and nothing else. Put them all back into the South East, you will see these ignorant arguments disappear overnight.

Yahweh is not actually God. It was an academic or historical error that refers to God as Yahweh. Yahweh was a pagan deity. You can research on this.

This particular teaching in this video captures so much.
For some that have not done any form of study nor research this you have said in this video would come as a surprise but to others who have it simply covers and re-affirms much.
This is a particularly enjoyable video with its content as it sheds more light on this matter and on this part and others concerning what some call SE and Alaigbo NDI IGBO in general as presently situated in present day Nigeria.
Hopefully, some still confused or unsure as to what the content and expose of this video refers to or mean will be inspired to do some proper research..

your submission is one of the most honest description of Igbo's that even a non Igbo can relate with, In regards the quest of building an Igbo nation, Firstly can you butress what you said by Benin being an empire with different ethnicities, because my understanding is that the Edo people which also includes Esan, Urhobo and others form the nucleus of the Benin Kingdom but still desribe them selves as Bini (Edo), Urhobo and Esan and not Benin, and the English people even though from England still have Welsh, Scotish and other ethnicities in Britain and are also described as British...Secondly, How would all Igbo's now comprehend the need politically for most of the Bendel Igbo's who where part of the Benin Empire to desire the need for an Igbo Nation in this mordern age of inclusivity in nation building without allienating their Benin heritage as well as embrasing fully Igbo religious customs, and what about the Igbo's of Aro chukwu who also have their religous customs that maybe contrary to others... 🙏🏿

      Kpom kwem my brother !!
It's non Igbos that regard Igbo deities as gods when they say that Igbos worship or worshiped many gods. But Igbos themselves never saw these deities in that light. That's why the term "gods" was never heard in daily conversations in Igboland. The Igbos only recognized one supreme being whom they called Chukwu Okike Abiama. So, whenever the Igbos say "God", they are talking about Chukwu Okike Abiama

The Igbos also, had the population, the power and the intellect to have been a strong empire more powerful than any in those days. But his egaliterian and republican nature is not compatible with empire building which requirs the control and subjugation of other people.

There was never a time any Igbo group, like Ika or Anioma (the People you call Igbo Bendel) was part of Bini Empire. They lived and interacted with Bini, like Ndi Igbo living in Lagos but not under the Rulership of Oba of Lagos. I advise you Read about the Ekumeku War( The Longest Resistance War The British Fought In Their History/ Against Ndi Igbo). You will figure out that Ndi Igbo of Anioma/Ika were fighting to Defend Onicha, Mgbidi, Ndoni, Egbema etc and Bini was never part of the Ekumeku War, because the Igbo Territories were never under or part of Bini Empire. Then years later when Bini was attacked by the British and Destroyed Bini Empire in Roughly 10 days, none of the Igbo(Anioma/Ika) ever defended Bini Empire. Note: The Ekumeku War Lasted 31 Years. Thank you

The reason you always felt marginalized is that you are greedy, do not love yourselves not to talk about non-Igbos. You realy don't know yourselves that's where you are claiming any ancestral relationship to the Jews. Go and find yourselves and when you do, try to live yourselves and others. I am Yoruba, and I love you very much.

Oga talk about your tribe and leave Igbos alone, you dont have any business being here
      You enemies of Igbo Unity
      Haven't you people done enough?
Statism was adopted by Nigeria after the war ended to disunite Igbos and to make sure they never speak in one voice
The undeniable fact remains that no tribe in Nigeria is more united than the Igbo, not minding the seeds of discord being sowed to frustrate any move to get the Igbo nation more united
Go and talk about your Afonja and let Igbos be
