My two grown daughters and I started a tradition of going to each other’s homes on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving and decorating each other’s tree and helping with other Christmas decor. We have now added in the 4 grandkids to help us as well. Hot cocoa and homemade sweets make it even more festive. 🎄♥️

I’m all done. I started NOVEMBER 13 when our light guy came to put up the Christmas lights. Once he was done I was off and running. It turned out great. Today is Thanksgiving and I’m ready for Christmas with the exception of Christmas cards and a few more gifts. All wrapped up and I’m ready. So happy I started so early. HOLLI🎄🎄🎄

November 1st, is when I start. I usually get the inside done first. I make my wreaths every year, changing out the decorations every year. You are so lucky you have a porch. I wish we did but I work with what I have and really enjoy decorating.

I love all of the color on your porch, the 2 trees from walmart looks great with the berries. You can add a couple poinsettias to them with lights and they will look exactly like the wreath. Very pretty and cozy for a brisk night . Be safe and God bless 🙏💞
I love Thanksgiving so I am not to rush into decorating for Christmas. Turkey day is a no fuss no muss holiday and it is so relaxing to just cook and have fun hanging out and have fun with my brother and sister in law and their daughter and we play games and watch National Lampoon Christmas Vacation to kick off the Christmas 🎄 season. Come 7am on Black Friday you won't catch me at the stores but in the garage dragging out the few containers that I have to decorate with for Christmas. We had to drastically downsize when we moved from a house to a rental condo in September and have no space for all the decor that we had. It was very sad to part with all of my decor but next year when we move again, we will have new decor again.
all the touches look so nice and cohesive. As for the little Walmart trees... to me when you say they look cheap , its the urns. I would paint them flat black for a more high end feel and you could always add a few sprigs of different textured greenery to up the game .

Hi Jessica! I love red too for Christmas! I've decorated my perimeter rooms...bathrooms, 2 bedrooms, office and a spare room. I'm leaving the main rooms...dining room, kitchen and living room until after Thanksgiving. My husband would probably hate to see Christmas decor in those rooms before Thanksgiving and we are hosting that this year with my daughter and her boyfriend. But if it was up to me, I would be starting those rooms earlier. It's hard when you own a business (and have to decorate there as well) and work a lot of hours. I would like to start early as it allows me to tweak it and then enjoy it. So I've blocked the days after Thanksgiving and also the Wednesday the following week to give me an extra day. I was chuckling when you were decorating outside...most of that decor would be in my neighbor's yard. The Midwest sees a lot of snow and wind and we've already had the wind. I've benn chasing my faux pumpkins every day! You're originally from New York, right? If so, you know what I mean! But I will decorate out there, just with very stable pieces however! LOL

I take down Fall decor the day after Thanksgiving then clean my home throughly and let it breathe until December 1. I fully decorate my front porch and my back screened porch in winter decor so I can leave it up until March 1. This helps with my sanity 🤣😂 both porches are rather large. I have 2 window boxes,I have been using silk flowers for past 2 years,at Christmas I put little trees( fake) and battery lights,looks great.
