Fascinating images from other days - bringing back many memories of my own time as a young Met. Police

Only three of the pubs in this film survive - The Lord Nelson, The Ferry House and the George. Friends of Island History Trust have published a book about the Isle of Dogs pubs, called ‘Boozers, Bompers & Bridgers’
