They are still God's of comedy, and of life! Just watched the 1975 Christmas special (again!!), and it still makes me laugh (and cry) , and so nice to see Des O'connor having a good laugh! Rest in peace all. Xxx
Even now more than ever we should heed the message behind this song! Eric and Ernie are sadly missed. They always successfully mixed comedy with the facts of everyday life in their shows
Wonderful to find this old classic from the boys. Bring me sunshine is the most famous one. But, l do remember they had a third one from the early days. Would be great if we could find it. This tune is what we need right now. May the boys, and Des rest in peace. Stars like these are hard to find today. Respect.
@@lesmonk6680. Yes indeed. Also add 'Two of a kind' to that list. Now that's going back through the years. Thanks for replying. Gratefully appreciated.
Oh how much we need these two in recent weeks. Terrorist attacks in Manchester and London, the Grenfell fire disaster, oh how we need "positive thinking".
What is that dance movement that Eric does at the end of this song? It 's the bit where he lifts his left leg and then his right leg. I've often wondered.
@@MrColin0202 Oh that one, Eric used to do that a lot. I remember on many shows he would do it. It was part of Eric's persona that he would go awry on any dance. Ernie was the "rock" and he would just do the dance, whilst Eric was the wild one, who would go overboard. It was an improvised little bit, which he kept for many years. Hope this helps?
Thanks John. Another thing that always made me laugh was that Eric kept his glasses on. So when they were doing one of Ernie's plays Eric could be dressed as a Roman soldier, but still be wearing his glasses.
@@MrColin0202 He also never changed his voice. "Evening all" was usually his first line when he would first appear in any of Ernie's plays. Can I ask, when did you first start watching Eric and Ernie?
We need this song more than ever in these current, awful times.
Agreed
Could not agree more ....such a simple and powerful message
Ahh, the good old days of 2021.
Try living in September 2024.
There will never be another duo like these two, alas.
Utterly utterly utterly brillant. Love them two. Total class.
Eric and Ernie, just watching them smile makes you feel better
I looked forward to their specials every year
The best. Always put smiles on people's faces and they didn't have to be vulgar or rude to get laughs. Nobody like them around today.
Eric and Ernie are incomparable they are the best and always will be. Still cry with laughter at their shows just fabulous ❤️
Their rendition of Positve Thinking never fails to cheer me up!
Another gem from Tony Hatch & Jackie Trent
RIP guys and thanks a lot for the wonderful joy you brought. We still love you and we'll never forget you. Sleep tight guys.
what they died?

on a bad day this always gets me back on track !
This is great, takes me back to better times.
Another banging tune from M&W. I agree that we need the sentiment and positivity M&W gave us.
It doesn't matter how many times I watch this...It cracks me up everytime.
My favourite two comedians clean and fun loving .❤❤
Wish these two were still with us. And to think Eric was only in his 50s when he passed. They'll never be bettered. God bless em ❤
So many enjoyable times watching these two, so funny and so nice.
Thats needed right now!
This should be our National Anthem.
Best. Idea. Ever.
Lauren Johnston
So let's get the ball rolling. What a positive song (no pun intended).
Tony Hatch - one of TV's bluntest talent show judges of Eric & Ernie's era - wrote the song with his then wife, the late Jackie Trent.
I agree. Especially in these current times.
whos nation aanthem??
God I loved those times
I love those boys and I always will.
Keep them laughing up thier fellas 😊The best comedy duo ever😂
I miss these guys.
Takes me back to when comedians were actually funny 😃👍
So tuned in to each other. Absolute professionalism. Beautifully funny! From down under 👇💜🙃

Irreplaceable....I’m crying

Thank you - their best outro by a long chalk - very moving or something in my eye !
Just the best ..... love them xxxxxx
Can't believe I just watched Eric and Ern starring in the Sweeney today..surreal :)
Fabulous.... Yes come everybody in the UK.... POSITIVE THINKING XXXX
I wish they were still alive making the morcambe and wise show.
Positive thinking so catchy
I love this 👍👍❤ Brilliant!!
Certainly need "Positive Thinking" while all this Coronavirus disruption is going on.
❤️
Won’t EVER be matched.
this should go viral now! 2021
Having this at my funeral.
This is greater than great

So beloved..xx
That was the best one he ever had. You couldn't see the join.
Was it my imagination or near the end did the say "good strong, positive drinking?"
Phoebe (aged 8) says that was crazy!
The best England has xxxxxxxxx
It was this or 'Bring Me Sunshine' that they ended their shows with..
Absolutely epic
I thought it was Gene Hackman who came out at the end with the harmonica. Who is it?
Not now, Arthur!
Who on earth dislikes this ?
Stupid liberal socialist communist morons.😏
Anyone who doesn't like Eric and Ernie is hopelessly lost !!!!
Not now Arthur...
"This crazy world that we live in"............lol
Is this the song for Brexit
Heros

It is the famous Morecambe and Wise skip dance. Have you never seen them before? I assume you mean at 1:37 right?
No John it is the leg movement that Eric does on his own at 1.44 when they are going off. Not the main skip dance. Thanks for replying.

Lee Bate are we related ? I’m Jon Bate from London.
Thanks paul the leeuw for this song! #adeleandpaul
Arthur!
At 1:38 they stop singing
classical
Peerless.
Absolutely!
The least British song in existence.
Why do you say that?
Not now Arthur...
