What a Great episode, and only part one. How Versatile is the Barra 45. Three different setups depending on the trip. Canopy, dirt bike carrier, or camping with swags. Timmy is a great instructor and a 4wd car builder, and he also knows the best tracks in Tasmania.
Beautiful look truck that Land Cruiser, and the rest to be fair. I'm a hardcore British Land Rover fan, but always have time for the old land cruisers and patrols. Nice to see them being used properly and responsibly as well...
Awesome content absolutely killing it. You’re really pushing the limits of your self and the car for someone that had barely driven Offroad before building the car!
That cutout you guys went to in the beginning I dub pooey hill as a local I've seen that many td42s go down in that exact same spot. And also that hill climb on the main dune is great. Only Barras or ls/lsa can get up that.. haven't seen a factory setup get it yet.
@nickunw no wonder you couldn't get the big gurl up those dunes - no fresh goggle lenses, LED headlight globes, or obligatory 'ur fkd' group message. Do better next time. Awesome vid though lads!
This series is gonna be epic 🤩

Soooo excited for this. My m57 coiled 45 is nearing completion here in Dunedin NZ
Absolutely brilliant video - what a great vibe and team. Always leave the viewer wanting more which is a great thing. Can’t wait for episode 2 and 3.

Richoooooooo on tour!!!!!! Epic video mate 👌🍻
Cheers mate, keen to tour soon!
You could have tried a plastic weld on the radiator to get out of trouble. Superglue and bi-carb or sand is perfect.
Ooo never heard this recipe.
We managed to run a janky hose clamp setup and limp it back to Timmy’s place.
Awesome episode Richard!! Power is king on the big climb at the dunes! So good to see Tim on your channel. Can’t wait for the next one!!
Awesome stuff Richard .... Really enjoyed this vid. Keep it up great work 👍

Good old Timmy for coaching you through the switchback man. You and the Barra Landy did awesome.
That wheel lift at 23:07 shows how heavy the tray is. Impressive driving.
So cool Richard, thanks boys looks like a epic trip. Seeya Rob
Beautiful work guys love it 😀
Great episode!! Love to see Timmy on your channel! He is a great driver!
Those sand dunes looked like heaps of fun !
sick vid lads. Need to get Roothy on Timmys torture tours.
Another cracking episode Rich keep up the great work bud 🤙
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.
Just at the end of my first set of Goodyears and I can't complain!!
Yep they are a very solid tire!!
The old TD42 living up to it's nickname 😂😂😂
so good, keen for the rest of the series
You need some Croc attachments boys 😂. Years agontheybmade offroad ones withba big sole. I owned a pair 😅😅
What an awesome convoy! 👌
That Fj45 looks soooo much better without the canopy and those gorgeous 37's.
Nice work. I enjoyed this episode.
Mint start to the series 👌
OOTG can't wait to get out one a trip with you
Hahaha, petrol in sand and dunes... Every time.
I used to be able to go up dunes in my 4.8 patrol on 2wd while Diesel 4x4s couldn't get up in 4x4 haha
TD all noise no go 😂
Hows the road noise with the goodyears? Im looking at new tyres soon and tossing up between those or staying with my Razrs
Not answering your question but another tire to consider if you haven't already is the flkn wld peak MTS definitely rate mine
@@harro9447 Yeah no worries man, i'll take it all on board. Whats the road noise like?
There is no road noise which is wild! I can barely believe it for such an aggressive set of mud terrains.
@@DesignedandBuilt good to know. They're not cheap by any stretch so the fact theyre not deafening is a massive plus.
@NoMatureContent yeah really good and there wearing really well
Lucky @timmyhasheart showed up to save face on the mighty TD42
All TD42’s need a Timmy Tickle to be able to climb sand dunes
A bigger turbo and few more hundred horsies would have been pretty swell though 🤗😝
@@DesignedandBuilt I'll make sure to be more capabble on the next tour
Whats in that fj cruiser sounds bloody amazing and what year also?
I think its a turbo barra engine.
@@donotwantahandle1111 looks really Mint I've got a 60 series Barra swap but twin turbo 😍
Timmy would of made it up that dune
For sure!
Richard, the kmc wheels look awesome. Are they fake beads or real? Would love em on my y62
Hey Steve, DM me for that answer 🤣
Good times.
I am thinking of doing a barra swap but want to know what MPG your getting with yours???
Thanks
Depends on how you drive it! 18L/100 at 110kph with a rooftop tent, off-road varies a fair bit depending on how it’s driven!
How good are 37's. Timmy is a dead set legend 🎉
@nickunw no wonder you couldn't get the big gurl up those dunes - no fresh goggle lenses, LED headlight globes, or obligatory 'ur fkd' group message. Do better next time. Awesome vid though lads!
🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤙🤙
All the Arabs watching are just thinking "Why Patrol no go up dunes????" haha
🤣🤣🤣
