Thanks to this channel I decided to research the Hisense tv’s back in 2022 and I decided to purchase the Hisense U7H 55 inch for my main bedroom and that TV is the best purchase I made last year, the brightness and the colors are amazing! I love technology and I also have a LG CX OLED in the living room but with Hisense and TCL out there offering these prices we don’t need to spend that much on a TV, Hisense and TCL are great tv’s and they are affordable compared to Samsung, LG and Sony. I highly recommend the Hisense U7K for a bedroom and the Hisense U8K for the living room.

I agree too! I have a Samsung 65” qn90A for the living room, which is cool, but last year pulled the trigger on Costco’s Hisense 55” U7H, best decision for the money for my bedroom. TCL and hisense have come a long way and have improved greatly every year. Samsung and sony will need to adjust things if they want to stay competitive because tcl and hisense are right on their heels with their tvs. If they get their software and motion upgraded, they'll take over the market. I will probably get the 75 inch hisense u8k. That panel is a ips aps panel at that size. The 55 and 65 inch are VA panels so that is also something to consider. @@Papa_WooWoo Difference between Sony and ALL the other is longevity and experience in the business of not only audio and video but PRODUCING professional content (movies) audio and video so they know FAR more about the entire process than any other companies COMBINED. And the fact that consumers obviously understand the quality differences by owning their Sony TVs and average of 6.7 yrs and LG and Samsung are closer to 3.1 and TCL/Hisense are at 2.7 yrs. Since there are no perfect TVs, the model that you decide to buy is the TV that offers you the most features you really want and has the fewest "compromises" that would bother you. I don't deny that both Hisense and TCL make excellent LCD TVs that offer great bang-for-the-buck value in their price range. I will say, though, that my personal preference is for OLED and QD-OLED TVs since I'm drawn to the high-quality image they display, and in my particular situation I don't actually need the extra brightness that LCD panels provide. (I'm also willing to pay extra for a reliable, long-lasting TV.) I realize that other folks have different criteria and I can understand how a Hisense or TCL TV would be the perfect choice for them to buy.

Personally: I don't consider LG because of the unintuitive mess that the WebOS is and their Wii-like remote control. More importantly, Sony and Samsung TVs generally don't offer the same performance in blooming and black levels of a Hisense at the "SAME" price point. Also, it doesn't seem to be the case that Samsung or Sony upscale SD content significantly better than Hisense or TCL unless someone on RUclips can actually show that in a comparison video.

I went with the Hisense u8k 65”. It’s been great! Would’ve gone w the c2 but wasn’t in the budget. But I’m very happy w the u8k. I upgraded from a Sony 950g. I don’t want upscaling and always had it on low in the Sony. Colors were more accurate on Sony out of the box but I still tweaked the settings the longer I had it. I’ll do the same w the Hisense and already made a few tweaks. Love the gaming features which was lacking from Sony. Even w their current models

Upscaling isn't something you can turn on and off (Sony reality creation is somewhat different, upscaling + adding AI elements).
If you're on a 4K TV and you watch anything less than 4k resolution (3840 x 2160) it HAS to upscale else it'll either be teeny tiny on the screen or a blurry mess if blown up

    Hisense U6K 55" or TCL Q5 65"?
Is it worth giving up miniLED for the extra size? Will it be that noticable?
Unfortunately my TCL series 5 was accidentally damaged, and apparently the Q series are a downgrade unless you pay $650+ for a Q7, and series 6 are impossible to find. So finding a replacement, the Hisense U6K seemed like the best option. Got it for $350 but thinking I need extra size. The Q5 65" is $400.

I have a TCL 65" P638 (LED TV, 4k60 at around $700) it was worth every penny. It has HDMI 2.1 because it supports ARC/eARC and ALLM. It also has AMAZING viewing angles for a LED TV and my whole family loves it. It has HDR10+, HLG, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, HGiG, Dynamic Color Enhancement etc.
I have no idea what yellowing you were talking about but i have none of it. Maybe you need to change the picture settings because you should never leave those default.

I returned my 85QM8 a couple of weeks ago and just ordered the 85U8K. I did love the picture quality most of the time, but Dolby Vision was not great during the day and the sometimes the procesor would struggle a bit. Did I make a mistake by doing so? I do feel like swapping 2300 dimming zones from the 85QM8 for 1300 85U8K sounds very significant. But I was hoping that the slightly better processor would make up for it. I mostly stream sports, movies and tv shows, but considering purchasing a PS5 for the holidays. What do you think? Im specting the 85U8K in 1 week. Im currently using the X90L, and while its amazing in SDR, it doesn't feel as punchy as the QM8 did. I’ve had the 85 QM8 for a few days now and so far, after some initial issues, the tv has settled nicely. The PQ is as good as any OLED I’ve owned and I think the upscaling and clarity is much better than the S95c. Only real issues I’m having is Dolby Vision looks “terrible” like it’s in drab filmmaker mode or something and the tv has extremely limited Picture Controls. All at an amazing price.

@@chebrubin Just plain bad dv. doesn’t matter if it’s ATV, Shield or internal apps.

@MichelleAlexandria-EM thank you very much for this information. I watch a lot of Dolby Vision content and it looks fantastic on my older Sony X950G. I was considering the QM8 but you've helped me eliminate it from consideration. May have to upgrade to the Sony X93L or X95L. Cheers!

I agree, I have this same tv and I can confirm Dolby vision is terrible. I managed to turn that feature off and only use HDR10 on my Amazon fire cube, Xbox and PlayStation when it comes to hdr gaming. I don’t use Dolby vision at all

I just picked up the Q7 (55) for my kid's room for gaming. I'm totally impressed, and I'm now wanting to replace our living room TV with the same in 75".
