I have the newer version of this grill and love it. It heats up nicely and is easy to use. Actually, it doesn't take much to get the grill hot, and once warmed up and cooking I turn the dials down, because it can run a little hot. I see it as saving propane. lol. Its easy to use, easy to maintain, and looks amazing. Oh, and they have a 10 year warranty as well that covers everything. Great video!
Thanks for the review. Just bought one yesterday. Got a great deal at my local Home Depot. It was on special for $360 marked down from normal price of $599.
Thanks for the review! I noticed the grill grates oriented with the flat side up? Seems like it makes since and provides more flat surface area. I'm starting to think I may have installed our grates upside down. The only issue so far I have with our E210 and trying to hold a low temp. I just started smoking meats in it by using one burner on low with a smoke tube and its a challenge to hold 225 - 230 degF. The grill wants to run away with the temp. Any experience with holding low temps on your E210?
Yes, the grill grates are supposed to be flat side up. They could be installed either way but the correct orientation is flat side up. I have never tried to hold a low temperature but I do use indirect cooking quite often. Maybe you could try adjusting the air/gas mix to give you a less efficient flame thus reducing the heat output. Not sure.
So I just purchased. The hole for placement of the tank is so big my tank goes right through and sits on the floor? Seems odd. Defeats purpose of wheel. Not even sure how to use the scale as I don’t want the weight of the tank pulling on structure. IT m a little confused

Do you have any suggestions on how to fix anon-lighting second burner bar? My grill Is always covered and is only outdoors for 4-5 months a year. I have tried to clean vents with a clean wire brush but second burner bar still does not light. Do I need to replace the burner bars and crossover tube? I cannot unscrew the burner bars to remove them as directed die to rust and corrosion. (even after using a drop of liquid wrench) Any ideas? Thanks. Jan

What grill cover do you use? I just ordered this grill and all I can find is the one for when the shelves are out I want one like yours for covering with shelves down
Michael, great video. I have recently purchased this model and have used it once with nice results. I have a Chefmate grill thermometer given to me as a gift, but the usage instructions are very vague. Do you know where I might look to get further instructions on how to use it? Thank you.
Don Snider There might be something wrong with your grill because my grill is easily able to get up to 500°. Something to make sure of is to ensure that before you turn your LP tank on that you make sure that both your knobs for the grill burners are turned off. If you do not do that, then the grill goes into a safety mode and severely restricts the amount of gas coming out of the burners.
I found the solution. Turns out that if you turn the tank valve on too quickly, it triggers a safety mechanism in the gas flow regulator that results in low gas flow and therefore low heat. The solution is to turn the gas valve on very slowly for the first quarter turn. This pressurizes the gas regulator slowly. Here's how to reset the gas regulator. Turn the knobs on the grill to the off position then turn the gas valve on the tank off. Next, disconnect the line from the tank to the grill. Wait for about a minute for the regulator to reset. Reconnect but turn the gas on very slowly. It is an easy fix for the low temperature problem.
Hello. I want to by a gas barbecue first time and this Weber is my favorite one. Stand the barbecue the whole year outdoor? And did you let the gas bottle inside over winter? My wife is a little bit afraid by the question where we should keeping the bottle. Sorry for my englisch ;)
boohousen I leave my grill outside, covered, all year long. Some people choose not to do that and will store in the garage or shed. Where I live I do not have severe winters. However there is nothing wrong with leaving the LP tank inside the grill during the winter. Just be sure to turn the valve off when you are not using the grill.
That's a good question and since I don't have a three burner, I'm not sure I'm the best person to answer the question. I guess it depends on how full the grill is with whatever it is that you want to indirectly heat. If more than half, then probably the 2-burner would be the way to go.
Hey, great review, I just bought one of these and I have one question: do you take out the LP tank when you grill? or do you just leave it there, at the weber store here in Chile they said that I have to take the tank out when I use the grill and I just don't see why. Thanks!
I never take the tank out and have never heard of that as necessary. In any case, I converted mine to Natural Gas so the tank is not even present for me.
kitchen aid is made in china so it won't last buy something made in USA or Canada will last a lot longer and work better. Always check where they are made. Cost a bit more but last longer so worth the price. Made in china last maybe 2 to 5 years made in USA or Canada more than 15 years. Your choice
jan pomi The cover I currently have is terrible. I’d suggest the Weber cover or something of similar quality. Most of the covers on Amazon, for instance, are garbage imported stuff.
jan pomi yup. Most of them are actually private labeled and multiple sellers sell the same crap. The cover you see in my video started fading and the seams started disintegrating within weeks. Purchased from Amazon. Caveat emptor.
Because it gets a wider surface closer to the heat and concentrates more heat transfer in a smaller area. Flat side up is better for keeping smaller pieces like bacon from falling through.
I don’t buy that argument. 1/4” closer to the heat source isn’t going to make any difference. And even if it did, having the wide surface up would create a wider channel at the bottom of the grate to capture and focus the heat towards the meat. The real problem is the lack of BTU’s. 600 degrees simply isn’t hot enough and can’t achieve the same kind of sear a hot cast iron Pan on a stove can achieve.
@@tjm3155 the grates could be installed either way but I've not seen anything indicating that the angled side is specifically for searing and Weber shows the grill with the grates flat side up. It seems more likely that the wide side would have more heat since the surface area is greater and would be absorbing the rising heat more completely. In any case you really need at least 700 degrees to get the kind of sear I want and this grill can't attain that.
According to Weber: "Second, while the temperature inside your grill can be anywhere from 300°F to 500°F while you’re searing your steak, the cooking grates themselves must be at least 500°F to 550°F to create sear marks."
