Although she was mopped all over, in the long run, she will be able to take care of herself in self defense. He's a stronger guy but he took a long time to get the pin. That's the first type of position to get a pin... creative on his part.

In the midst of getting absolutely handled, it must feel odd hearing "YOU GOT THIS MARISSA COME ONNNN" Then, while your head is being put in a lock by your competitors legs, you hear "THERE YOU GO MARISSA"
The guy looked like a really well trained wrestler with a ton of moves, and the gal did a great job countering. I guarantee that guy pinned other guys faster than the gal. He was just a better wrestler (as opposed to boy beats girl).
Unfortunately, the weight classes that most women would fit into are also some of the most skilled wrestlers. Not sure why a woman would want to wrestle, as a man who also wrestled I’m not entirely sure why I chose the sport.

@JakeyStar I lost to a girl a few times because she was higher weight class, and was physically stronger because she worked out at home meanwhile I have not done any major workouts until wrestling. In fact, I never really won an official match because I'm not really aggressive enough, I have a habit of ceasing movement and forgetting moves in a proper match.
I remember in the late 80’s when I competed the only way girls could wrestle was to wrestle boys. And for the boys it was a no win situation. You win you beat a girl, you lose and you lost to a girl. It wasn’t until all the guys in 1 tournament dropped out and 90% of the tournament was guys that the school board decided to give the girls their own division.
We have a couple girls that were conference champs the past couple years. One is now off training with the Olympic squad. Girls wrestling has come a long way.

I've watched several of these, and I'm sorry, but I don't get the point. In every one the girl was completely defensive from start to finish. The only question was how long they could hold out. It's also a "no win" scenario for the boy. If he wins, swell, he beat a girl. If he loses then, OMFG, he GOT beat by a girl. It's just not a reasonable competition. It will be better when there are enough girls wrestling that there are no longer boy vs girl matches. We don't see inter gender official competitions in basketball, tennis, baseball / softball, soccer, hockey, etc.
