      Thanks so much! That’s quite a good score! It only depends on what the current cut-off scores are, and how many other candidates are in the pool. I’m planning to make a video on that in the coming weeks/months :).

    So you were already in Canada when applying for the Express Entry? And then waited even longer for the invitation for PR? My wife has an interview for a Canadian job but we're doubtful it will work out since we haven't received the invitation to apply for PR yet...

      As far as I know the draw for Federal Trade Worker works a bit different, I'm not sure whether they draw from the same pool or have a different allocation. I would say there's always a chance, but it might take a while. Hang in there!

    How long do you have to have lived in Canada to get a permanent resident card.

    • @LivinginCanada
      @LivinginCanada  Год назад +2

      The PR card itself is issued a few months after the PR is approved. PR approval has nothing to do with years lived in Canada, but is based on a point system. Every few weeks there's a PR draw (express entry draw) where a certain number of applicants with the top points are chosen. Then you'll get an 'ITA' (invitation to apply', after which you need to submit all required documents. If everything's clear, then you'll get your PR. Hope this helps!
