As somebody who has listened to a lot of 70s music, this is one of the best songs from one of the best groups of the entire decade.

Angela, the slow song you're thinking about where both Maurice White and Philip Bailey share lead vocals on is probably "After The Love Has Gone." "Boogie Wonderland" represents the very best of disco music of the 70's. Great song.

This is a true disco collaboration between one of the greatest bands of all time in EWF and the Emotions one of the best vocal groups of the seventies. Maurice White and Phillip Bailey's vocals complement the Emotions voices and the tight band music arrangement is on point. We all hit the skate rink floor when this song was playing. Many great memories 🎼🎶🎵. The songs with both of them singing is After the love is gone, reasons Bless the Children true Devotion. This song is a definite 5!!!

Me too - I was 11 as well. EWF was always on my record player and on the radio (no pun intended, Donna Summer!).
You obviously are too young to appreciate this sings place in dancing songs history. As a former DJ, I had one of the sickest dance jam sets arranged and this song was in the middle of a 10 song setlist. It always packed out the dance floor within the first few notes because peoole absolutely love dancing to this song! I'm witb everyone else...this is way up a 5!!!

One of my favourite groups ,I have seen them twice live, the second time they started with this one and everyone was up dancing. Their music is so uplifting, and this is a great one to dance to. Looks like you enjoyed this Angela! 5 from me-Colin Ward
I can't say that I'm a disco fan. But then again, these guys are not a Disco Band. They are just a great band, and would be a great band in any era. Excellent musicians all!

On this shake your booty jam, they are combining thier talent with the Emotions ( a female sister family group from my hometown Chicago. ) . The Emotions have a band of hits also.. Come on!!! The Emotions also had a Number one hit 'The Best of my Love" (1977) EWF had several popular ballads but the song you maybe pertaining to is 'After the Love is Gone'? That was the first song I'd thought of or 'Love's Holiday'.

Disco dance clubs everywhere! I took dance lessons with an Italian hottie. We entered a dance contest in Virginia Beach and came in second place. We danced in the final to this song. We became good friends with the couple that won.

This is my favorite musical group. I remember in high school in 1979, the first time I heard this song it filled the dance floor. Everybody was up jamming to it! This was also on the soundtrack of "Happy Feet".

Easily on my playlist as i started my DJ life in 1979/80 at HS dances and parties (eventually weddings 😊). But girl this is easily a 5.

Wow, one of my favorite songs! From what I know, it seems like The Emotions weren't really given credit for their performance on this song! That would be monetary credit and artistic credit I believe! If anyone knows more, let me know if you want!

Anything less than a 5 gets your music/disco card (especially) revoked. EWF is one of the most iconic bands ever - the horns are rivaled by none - along with the vocals, melodies, and harmonies (Chicago is the only one close)!
