I honestly think that F1 has the best ever set of drivers away from the track. I'm 45 and can't remember a time when I had so much interest in drivers throughout the grid due to things they do to help others.
@@fingersTitan its not the drivers, its the technology of the era. its netflix, social media and generally more exposure because it generates more money. People didn't magically became more interesting.
What a lovely, talented guy, his parents must be bursting at the seams with pride at what he’s done on the track but maybe even more so off it. Team Albon all the way
Bit awkward, if I’m not mistaken his mum is in prison and father is deceased? …I’m sure they ARE proud, but this guy had to raise his sisters too from a young age… he’s a phenomenal guy.
@@Milkydrummer You couldn’t be further from the truth. 1) His father is very much still alive according to his Wikipedia, and a former racing driver at that 2) his mum was released from jail in 2015, years before he even made his debut in F1, so yeah she served her time and is allowed to be proud of her incredible son.
@@januarybaby1063 where the hell am I getting that from then!? …my memory is playing tricks on me clearly. Either way, Albon is a man to be proud of regardless and I’m glad his upbringing wasn’t so traumatic as I thought it was… I must be mixing him up with someone else. Swear I saw a behind the scenes type doc about Albon where I got all this from…….. nevermind
@@Milkydrummer yeah I just did 2 minutes research on Google, usually does the trick ;) appreciate that you’re coming at it from the same moral standpoint as me though, Albon is a top guy
@@Milkydrummer Alex has said himself during drive to survive that his dad is alive and in Malaysia and his mum had served her time prior to him joining F1 which you also see her in drive to survive too
Alex is so refreshing in F1 he's not completely self centered and a great guy ! For sure podium regular once he gets the top 6 works drive he deserves.
Alex has always been a good guy and always been a rapid driver. He proves you don't need to always be completely ruthless in this sport. What a humble gentleman
Alex deserves everything he has earned. Especially as most of the Commentators at Sky and else where played a part in bringing him down at Red Bull with the constant negative comments being made. So to see Ted go out and meet him and come to realise that Alex is a decent young man making his way in the world and not only driving really well at Williams but giving back to his native land too. Bravo Alex.
One, if not the best Sky Sports F1 Ted Kravitz interview I have seen thus far. I found myself when witnessing the philanthropic gift that Alexander Albon made to benefit the WAT SRAKAEO moved me to tears and I am very much one that would support to see Alex Albon replace George Russell at Mercedes. Thank You for this beautiful moment.
Well now i love him even more, already my favourite driver on the grid(long time Williams fan since the Keke days) and easily comes across as the most down to earth.
Albon is such a genuine person, and that's why I support him. And for this clip, I like the part where Ted tastes Bamboo worm. He showed respect to Asian cuisine, which is heart-warming.
This should have been an hour long feature. Love Ted and the way he gels with the drivers. Like his series with Seb all those years ago. Would love to see more of these every time Alex visits Thailand. Especially more of the "Alex & Ted try out different Thai dishes with Alex explaining them".
This post is proper! Very well produced and executed. And Alex is such a likable guy. I'm very pleased he's doing so well these days. And wow-- what an honor for him at the orphanage.
Someone said that to me "You're too nice". I did alright and at the age of 68, I look back and say "I did alright". Two children born in Bangkok and now all living in England, with two grandchildren too!
I can see the potential in this guy to become like Lewis. If he can win races or atleast finish in top 3 in the near future he can easily become iconic and face of the sport. I truly hope that will be the case for Alex.
I had no idea that Alex is Thai lol. Just recently got into F1. But definitely so happy that we have a driver in the grid that is representing the Thai flag!
happy for Albon that settle down w Wlliams, getting experience. you never know where it goes for him in the future. He was unlucky had 2 podiums w RB taken from him .
What an incredible guy, deserves the respect he’s now finally receiving
And Alex isn't too bad a guy either!
100%
He seems like very kind, down to earth guy. Worth support
Alex is proof there is more to a great F1 driver than just the best car on the grid
I honestly think that F1 has the best ever set of drivers away from the track.

Very humble and down to earth. So happy Alex was given another chance at F1 and doing well at Williams.
Ted's speech to albon at the end was really touching

Hopefully next year we see albon and lawson as teammates again. Those two had a great dynamic in DTM.
Have you seen their Nordschleife Hotlap videos? The both take turns at driver and being the passenger and it is hilarious.
@Max_Flashheart I just watched it and wow! It was really fun and I could see both of them as great teammates
They were teammates in DTM so they work well together... Liam beat Alex in DTM FYI @@mistersir3185
Why would he move to AT when Williams is the better team currently?
Because he is a Red Bull driver, if RB can't put him in a RB seat they should loan him to Williams.@@sho7078
This brought a tear to my eye. Alex is such a nice guy and you can tell it’s just the way he is and it’s not for the cameras.
God bless AA, mad respect for supporting orphans, true role model.
What a gentleman. A proper class act off the track and on the track.
Being Thai makes me so proud of Alex 😍 It's amazing
being armenian don't make me proud of kim kardashian anyway 😜
Alex deserves a win, great guy!
The epitome of a “nice” guy. And absolutely NOTHING wrong with that. Keep going strong Alex. Great empathy Ted.
This could have been a 60 minute documentary! Would have loved to see what these two would talk about. 7 mins isn’t enough!

Great guy and a great driver, Been a fan since 2019
Alex Albon, what an incredible and good guy
We definitely need more content like this!
Well now i love him even more, already my favourite driver on the grid(long time Williams fan since the Keke days) and easily comes across as the most down to earth.
I did not think he would get back in to f 1 I am happy he did
He is finally getting some of the recognition he deserves 🙏🏼💙
Very heartwarming. Brilliant!! But only 7mins across 4 different takes. Is there an extended/full version?
I love this sweet man, so polite, grateful and willing to put back into the universe.
Great interview ted. Alex is so wholesone and genuine. Respect
I am PROUD OF YOU ALEX! I cried!
Albon seems like the one of most transparent F1 driver, he's cool with being himself, doesn't need to act like a PR robot.
What an all round good guy Alex is. Huge respect.

Anyone remember that noise he made during lockdown while sim racing with Charles, Lando and George? …so funny, loved him ever since!

I could watch a full 1 hour+ long documentary about these two going around Thailand, or anywhere for that matter
He is suck a great person, and no one better that Ted to showcase Alex.
Alex, my favourite driver, and now even more so after watching this. He’s so genuine. Clever, talented, kind and cool 😎
Alex is a lovely person, very friendly and humble. I wish him every success in being a racer.

What a wholesome guy, never knew about the orphanage that he supports in Bangkok.
Just carry on being happy Alex.
You have a unique talent and opportunity, which you seem to be taking full advantage of.

I am not crying, you're crying 😭
So so heartwarming, is anyone cutting onions or is it just me?
Wow, I mean, am I the only one who's glad that Alex picked the Thai flag instead of the Jack Union as his nationality in F1? Pure gold!
