I'm weirdly proud of Phil Dunster, in particular, for getting to be part of this. He's been overshadowed and basically the only main character on Lasso to never get the awards attention he deserves, so it's awesome that the tide seems to be turning a bit for that sort of recognition.
I feel they did him right this last season for sure thankfully

Adam Scott has previously spoken abt his admiration of Crooklyn & Spike Lee on a podcast Spike's concert film American Utopia. IIRC Scott used to frequent a 40 Acres and a Mule merchandise store in California in the 1980s-90s

Why is the scene they show of 'Ava" for Janelle SO perfect to capture why the writing is so important, and to Delroy and the Moderator's point, for the actor to just "play the truth of the moment" b/c when she has to be the substitute teacher when Janine is out and every other sub is either already working or won't come back to the school that scene is comedy gold just from her "playing the truth of the moment"!♥
Such an amazing Panel; everyone is brilliant in their own right, and it’s so cool to hear Delroy Lindo talk about his process - he’s one of the all time greats.

Great group, I just wish they'd given Adam Scott a little more time and asked about Severance. But this was a treasure trove of actors and I wanted to hug Molly Shannon, never knew she was carrying that pain since 4. ❤
She's amazing. I highly recommend reading her book. Better yet the audio version. So good. She's gone through some tragic things in her life but has the best outlook on life.

Definitely, he's such an eloquent and witty person too. But then again, he's been on Kimmel a ton of times and is a household name, while actors like Anthony Carrigan or Delroy Lindo might need the platform more - and perhaps that's what he felt too.
@@Impression08 That's a really good point. I'm a big fan of all the other actors, but I hadn't heard of the two you mentioned. And it turns out Delroy Lindo has a long, impressive career. Adam was definitely not pushing himself - he seems like a truly good guy. And it's good if that line-up of very likeable, well-known actors got us to know about Lindo and Carrigan.
@@janetbeatrice9505 Absolutely. I especially love Anthony Carrigan's performances, he was amazing as NoHo Hank and I've been waiting to see him in a bigger role again ever since he played the eccentric assassin Victor Zsasz in Gotham. All the more reason he should get more recognition.

This was entirely too short. This lineup is 🔥. Needed another half hour.
That was enjoyable to watch and I could see these actors starring in a dramedy together. I've also seen at least one, two, three, or more projects each have starred in.

Molly seems like such a sweet person
He kind of said it at the start, but i wanted to hear a bit more specifically from Delray what ge felt coming into comedy, at least to my knowledge he's always done action/drama, so what he learnt/ bright to the table as opposed to the rest who are in comedy more often
As a Jamaican Delroy knows the game is called Football ⚽️. However as a professional recognizing the audience is mostly USA, he uses the “s” word.
Conflating level of fame with level of talent is insane and it's sad that an actor of Delroy Lindo's immense talent has that in the back of his brain. The photographers want the pics that sell, not pictures of the finest actors. It has nothing to do with what they think of an actor as a person or their skill as a performer.
Someone please tell Phil Dunster about Kum n Go post-Jiffy Lube story. 😆

The fact that Anthony thinks he sounds wildly different from his character is funny to me. It's just his regular voice, but with a weird lilt and weaker grasp on English.
