Today I explain why I think Edge of Destiny is the best Blade of Justice remake, and some of the history of Blade of Justice. Edge of Destiny is a remake of the unnerfed version of Blade of Justice, set to be a top 10 extreme demon. Blade of Justice would’ve been a really cool top 1 back then lol.

Your point about EoD "completing" Blade of Justice is something that I absolutely agree with, what an awesome video!
Um, excuse me. You probably have a hard time telling the difference, but RUclips is not the same as the garbage can. So make sure you upload your future videos there instead. It's more environmentally friendly.

EoD has some of the best decoration to ever be seen in the game, and as you said, completes BOJ's legacy. This is supposedly harder than The Golden, meaning it would have been top 1 all the way until 2020 if the unnerfed version had been verified. Overall, I think BOJ received the best treatment it could be given.
According to Pro players it's around Tartarus difficulty
I count EoD to the most beautiful levels. Up on there are Sedulous, the Sakupen circles remake, Sonic wave infinity and maaybe LIMBO.

This level is incredible, CDMusic, CuLuC, and the others did an amazing job.
As a space lover and a GD player, Edge of Destiny definitely made me have goosebumps

This and Eternal Night are the best upcoming top demons imo. Ascension to Heaven is up there too but I’m not sure how close that is to being finished.
Culuc part is so outstanding every time culuc is in a collab level he makes the best part

You’re understating it. The entire level becomes redesigned around his part. Look at DBI. It was a pretty shit level, then Culuc comes song and does his shit, next thing you know everything’s being remade.
Similar phenomenon here, though I’m less familiar with the level before he made his part. He really brought out the space theme in this level, forced some surrounding parts to be remade, and parts feature his black hole, star, and space debris, as well as the endscreen, which is basically just his part as a screen
Personally, my favorite part of EOD is Realvet’s dual wave, because it keeps the character of the original, while still looking really good. It’s the best part of this amazing level in my opinion.

Unpopular opinion: being stuck in 2.1 for 5 years has actually benefited the community
The only level I have seen that can comparr with EoD in decoration is Reanimate. If you havent seen it Id recommend it and if you are good eonugh you could beat it since it has been verified for a while now

I was a HUGE fan of BoJ originally, and when they nerfed it I was absolutely livid and immediately hated the level and ALL levels that took inspiration from it, including Edge of Destiny. Then when the preview was released a few days ago I saw that it truly lived up to the original’s legacy. It is what BoJ should have been. It is perfect, and I can not wait to see it verified.

I always loved BoJ but the problem with the level that the deco did not age well. Edge of destiny is a much needed re deco and buffdate. I absolutely love the level and it's in my top 5 favorite extremes
Edit: it reminds me a lot of bloodlust where it's extremely buffed and decorated well.
I would say QFP but QFP is dogshit and I prefer cataclysm.
Now sonic wave may have 700 remakes, but auditory breaker is the only good remake IMO and I think it's a decent comparison even if it is nerfed

the point about the legacy is always why I wanted to verify this, I also loved BoJ back in the day :)
To clarify on difficulty, it is not just unnerfed BoJ, it has balance changes to make it not bs (since there's a lot of that in unnerfed BoJ) and then harshly buffed. So while unnerfed BoJ is around Zodiac difficulty Edge of Destiny aims to be above tartarus.

i like the extension idea, since its been done to many levels like bloodbath/bloodlust, silent circles, dbi, calc core, and several other. i would really like to see one of these, but i feel lik eod should be its own thing. maybe one in the future? (probably not the level would have like ten million objects lmao) also amazing level

The deco may not be perfect but it has the drive and power that really a good extreme demon is all about

This is just my opinion but, for some reason I just really don’t like EOD. Something about it being fully blue and all the parts look the same besides CuLuc’s part ofc. I can’t deny that the decoration is outstanding in every way but again, there aren’t that many outstanding parts that makes us reconsider the skills of these creators. Also something about it being a top 1; I am sick of looking at titles saying “*INSERT LEVEL NAME* NEW TOP ONE?”. I personally think it would be perfect if it’s just a re-deco of BOJ or heck maybe even a different level.

The only hyper nitpick I could make is the the transition from that blue star into a black hole seems kinda cartoonish, which dosent really fit the theme
blade of justice was a masterpiece of 2.0, and now edge of destiny feels like the same all over again, just in 2.1

EoD isent the exact real "unnerfed" BoJ as old blade of justice, in which it was a manix and ricolp not lazerblitz, that version what much harder and is still in the top 550 on the ill

i was never really a fan of BoJ but EoD is really good
Idk how can I explain my opinions about this level without being cancelled, but something about this level just does not do it for me personally. There is just way to much detail in my opinion, and it kind of harms the level at some points in my opinion. Take stuff like the black hole part. Yeah, the amount of detail is incredible, and no other level can rival it, but does it really need that much detail? In my opinion, no, not at all. It just feels like a moving endscreen at times, and it makes me ask myself, does this level have to be this object heavy? Maybe it's just because I don't like this style of deco to begin with, I don't need each block design to have half the object count of a neigefeu level, that just feels like overdecorating at this point. In my opinion, minimalism is king in decoration, especially in effect levels like these, which is the reason why this level does not do it for me. Which I know is very unfair because yeah, the level looks stunning, even I agree with that, it just that I really don't like this style. It's the main reason why I don't like eternal night, The SC redeco or ascension to heaven very much as well. Call me unbased all you want, it's just my opinion. This genuienly makes me so upset tho, as I'm pretty much the only person in this community who does not like this level

ngl, there's a lot of really good top 10 levels recently that aren't really trying to go for top 1, just be hard but decent at their job

@@tuio403 this level, black flag is very coherent, white space is beautiful in transitions and art. It could name a few more, ut silent clubstep is very static, and the deco is quite bland and it all blends together.

+ratio factually wrong, its only unnerfed BOJ not old BOJ. that just makes it what BL was to BB but just to BOJ. except BOJ wasn't nearly as revolutionary as BB so it will just get forgotten.
now, if it was the OLD BOJ then it would hold up to its prestige, because that makes it actually different and (probably) top 1.
I had to read this 3 times to actually get what this means also a level doesn't have to be revolutionary to make the remake revolutionary also this level isn't even meant to be top 1

@@bryantofsomething5964 the wave chokepoint isn't as hard as the 9% ship on silent clubstep, that has been done many times before.
aside from that the level is generally around FW difficulty, including the first ship.
I love the level but I always thought that a glow styled remake just ruins it. I'd rather it be 1.9 styles or just straight up modern. Glow levels are so common and nothing stands out with them. Edge of destiny is just another glow level for me. But the way that it keeps the unnerfed BOJ is good

This level is flawless in terms of deocration and theming. I just hope the verifier ensures that it's fun to play too.
It's not perfect. CDMusic have a lot of emptiness in his parts. Also there's the funny bd on the first robot, and the funny overdecorated clubstep monster.
Also Culuc copy-pasted a lot.
