    Our VRF Grab Bags (GB) videos are compiled from content from our cameras as Mods and fans spot something neat while watching our cameras. In the GB you will, of course, find a variety of TRAIN content, special trains, maintenance, steam, diesels, interesting rail cars, cool paint schemes and more. You will also find fun people, city events, boats, planes, cars (sometimes going wild) and nature. Thank you for taking the time to sit back and enjoy these highlight reels that we call "Grab Bags"!

      @IowaGrandpaTrain probably so. Even more of a hassle is the delay in service for the cars coupled to it, and any trains that are stacked up on either side. But in the grand scheme of things, it's probably a lot cheaper than to repeat a situation like what happened not too long ago in Ohio.

    Very classy 'Central Pacific' "Promontory Point" Observation Car. The appearance of the 'P&LE' CSX Heritage Unit was a delightful surprise the other day. Strasburg re-enactment actually not too far from Chambersburg which was sacked and burned by Confederate forces during the War Between the States as retribution for Federal's destruction of Southern facilities. The black and white photography added an almost Matthew Brady touch to the scene. Great Grab Bag

Boys Clubs and a neighbor who loves Lionel as much as any train collector, however the New York Central four Engine unit has stayed with me on a shelf in the family Room. The Lionel flashing light crossing gates and signal towers have been modified to turn on with a switch thanks to my handy husband. There's not much that goes on with the normal traffic. I just love the encounters they face with low-brains individuals in cars, waiting for the train to swerve around them. That's what usually makes the Grab-bag. I think this time it was a Heritage engine, but with CSX's heritage paint, you just about miss it unless you're looking at the side of the engine, which is difficult with these cameras. Head-on, a heritage locomotive from CSX looks like any other CSX locomotive. But they had to be different!

    • @Matts_Conrail_Chicago_Mainline
      @Matts_Conrail_Chicago_Mainline 18 дней назад

      Very strange but true story, GE used a different type of red paint than what EMD used on the Santa Fe "Superfleet" units, and it didn't hold up as well in the long run as it did on their EMD counterparts. That's why all the Dash-8s and Dash-9s look poorly, but the GP60Ms and SD75s (what few of them are left still wearing Santa Fe paint) still look fairly pristine for their age, despite never having been repainted.
