After a very long delay, I'm back in my garage to continue my Gixxer's restoration.

Thanks Karl! I think I replaced them all with brand new, because the old ones are still sitting somewhere on my work-bench 😅

Hello, I have a 1998 gsx r 1100 w engine that has a problem with the engine stalling in second gear and the engine does not move in second gear. Unfortunately, I am in a country where I do not have access to spare parts. Will this problem be solved by rebuilding the defective part?!! please guide me

If the gear is stuck on a specific spot and does not go any further, then you definitely have to open the engine, in order to have access in the gearbox and see what is happening.
You may not have to rebuilt the whole engine (you don't have to do the cylinders, piston ring, cylinder head etc) if it doesn't need rebuilt, but you certainly have to check the gearbox. It may be a worn fork, a worn gear, a worn cam gear plate or even a worn cam gear shift barrel (even though the last is very difficult to wear out).
Since you do not have access to spare parts, this would be something extremely difficult (if not impossible) to rebuilt. There are some really good machinists out there, that they can do literally miracles. They have the knowledge and the patience to recreate the part. The point is to find one!
