Starting like late 2000s Aston's are truly "timeless", at least so far. Interior (not a negative) and headlights are the only things that show it didn't come out last year.
The actual redline is unfortunately only 7k but it’s not the point of these cars (I have a Rapide S). They tuned the exhaust on these to sound glorious between 3k-4k, so you can have fun within the speed limit. Brilliant!
I actually like the gearbox not being 'snappy'. LOVE the sounds this AM produces and those slower shifts enhance the relaxed feeling of just being able to enjoy this beautiful soundtrack. Well done on the route, perfectly fitting for the car. This one goes into my favorites playlist as I'm sure I want to hear this again. And again.
I am 5'11" and could adjust the seats so I could actually sit behind myself in the back. Comfortable? No. But preferable to walking, biking or taking the bus? Yes.
This might be the most beautiful and sexy spec on any Aston Martin i ever saw. Stunning colour and magnificent interior colour and carpet colour with gorgeous white stitching
I am going to start saving for a 2014 Vanquish. 2015 - 2017 were unfortunately ruined by overstiffing the suspension. This was corrected in the 2018 Vanquish S which rightfully commands a huge premium now
I used to thank people for not cutting me off like you do until someone took my "thanks" as a "go a head" and cut me off thinking I was waiving them through lol
I wish I would have seen this review. I was watching this car online, but was worried about the colors. The waterfall made me hold off, but I think it works with the car.
Traded in a 2016 911 Targa 4S for a 2015 Diavolo red 2015 Vanquish volante. Even though just paid $9000 for new catalytic converters still best thing I did. It was a $360k car new. Got it for the 911 + $17k. Its a head turner, no one knows what it is!
The rear looks like as if it was released last year, not in 2014. Fantastic gentleman's spec, really nice V12 music. Now, to anyone reading through the comments that could give me some more insight - why Astons were (at least from my observations) never even closely as popular as brands such as Bentley or RR? When I think of luxury SUVs, the "leader" that comes to my mind is the Bentayga with how early it has conquered the market. RR takes the 1st place in limousines, whereas I can't think of a more iconic GT than the Continental GT. Am I right when I think of Aston as a way less popular brand in a similar price segment? If so, why is that? Were/are Astons unreliable or what's the deal?
Personally I think part of it is Aston Martin used to be known as a brand that was both fast and comfortable. In the 2000s starting with the DB9 they started getting much stiffer and more sporty but still weren't thoroughbred supercars. So you had cars that were slower and more reserved looking than normal supercars and less comfortable than luxury cars, but with a price tag that could fit both. The old customers wanted something fast and comfortable, and everybody who wanted a car that was fast and sporty automatically went to Ferrari or Lamborghini. Also Aston Martin's reliability in the 90s apparently was terrible so I guess that gave them a bad wrap too.
Astons were/aare not the best build quality. This one has been sitting in somebody's temp controlled garage, but they tend to fall apart quickly when actually used.
Way less popular for the price segment because they are so outrageously overpriced, it makes more sense to buy a Ferrari or Lamborghini for the exact same price. Also they are not reliable, which should be obvious since it's a British car.
The 2014 vanquish is a 6 speed with 565hp lighter than all other variants but The 2015-2017 is an 8 speed with 568hp The S model in 2018-2019 is an 8 speed with 580hp same weight as the 2014 almost and has a better suspension
Could you sometime drive a mercedes SL W129 or W230? I would really like your impressions on these cars. great videos btw;) Kind regards from Switzerland
The aston martin V12 (the older Ford Duratec V6 based one, not the new one sourced from Merc) sounds a lot like Cummins 12v diesel engine in the 2k-3k RPM range, doesn't it?
Very nice presentation! Thank you. Love this car. This would be my choice being 69 years young I appreciate a touring fast automobile! Sweet. Sorry Mercedes Benz :))
12:16 - Is that seriously a speed limit 45? I see virtually no reason for that other than potentially the upcoming T intersection. On a well paved and straight multi lane road, that seems like a spot for revenue collection to me, as people are cruising 70+...
Beautiful machine. To me, the only giveaway at how old this car is is the center display screen. It just looks positively tiny in comparison to current gen vehicles.
I dont get it that he said one of the best interiors. I dont know why i like the AM cars from the outside but i never really like the interior. Its nothing 'special'. Same with mclaren (even worse imo). I dont know why but its a bit boring especially the look when you are driving. (No hate)
Perhaps it’s just me but I seriously could never get past the reversed tachometer. I know that sounds petty but for such a gorgeous car however I’m being dead serious with the comment. It’s so ODD.
Almost 10 years old and still looks new.

wym he just posted the video bruh
@@2darkdragon he's talking about the design of the car

The icing on the cake is the fact that you can rev it out to 8k/rpm even though you have enough torque to get everything you need done under 4k/rpm.
The actual redline is unfortunately only 7k but it’s not the point of these cars (I have a Rapide S). They tuned the exhaust on these to sound glorious between 3k-4k, so you can have fun within the speed limit. Brilliant!
Tedward, my doctor measured my height at 5'7 and 3/4". When asked, I say that I'm 5'8." Let's called that Aston V-12 a 6.0L and it's cool.
😂

That’s a really nice road to drive on
My god, that sound is perfect.
most timeless exterior ever
3:30 "Back seats for legless children" 😭😭😂
I am 5'11" and could adjust the seats so I could actually sit behind myself in the back. Comfortable? No. But preferable to walking, biking or taking the bus? Yes.
V12 ASTON FOR THE WIN!
Astons have the best sounding exhaust of anything imo. Great vid Tedward!
One of my dream cars, thank you Tedward!
That interior feels at home in a speakeasy. Like I'm down in the Federal Cigar lounge having a scotch.
That V12 sounds amazing
Such an incredible looking car🙏 love the video man!
that sound is so beautiful
This might be the most beautiful and sexy spec on any Aston Martin i ever saw. Stunning colour and magnificent interior colour and carpet colour with gorgeous white stitching
Used, this is a bargain. One of my favorite cars ever. Hope to be in a position to purchase one in the future! Great drive as always Tedward!
YES! THANKS TEDWARD.
THAT THING ROARS LIKE A LION 😩😩
OMG the sound of that V12. Only the 2019 Rapide AMR sounds even better!
Starting at like 8:50 is among my favorite roads you've driven. So pretty
I agree, he has some good roads in his area.
I actually saw him filming and told him about that road.
This is a great pov, the way you drove fit the car and what it represents, good vibes 👍
the v12, the looks, the top-down
Love these old school cars.
I am in love with this car and the engine. The DB11 wish it could sound this good.
I could listen to that engine all day, Great video.
love the content, definitely one of my top dream cars.
Love the Subaru Forester at the 8:50 mark. I’d love to see one of them in a video
I am going to start saving for a 2014 Vanquish. 2015 - 2017 were unfortunately ruined by overstiffing the suspension. This was corrected in the 2018 Vanquish S which rightfully commands a huge premium now

I love the rear seats
Oho the sound it’s a dream ❤
What a soundtrack!
Beautiful car but coupe looks way better
This is beautiful
I wish I would have seen this review. I was watching this car online, but was worried about the colors. The waterfall made me hold off, but I think it works with the car.
We need a night drive with this car!

This one looks a lot more classy than the modern Astons. I never really gelled with Aston's new design language

gash, inside looks like diamond, outside same. Rly, rly beautifle car! :)
Imho, it is Always useful while driving to thank people even if they are in the wrong if I feel they may be agressive, at first at least.
Definitely not thanking anyone for being wrong haha
Beautiful car and the interior is so nice 😍 but I think the a pillar would drive me crazy :,D
“Legless children”😂😂😂😂
Counterclockwise tach the best thing about these last-gen Astons.
The 2014 vanquish is a 6 speed with 565hp lighter than all other variants but
The 2015-2017 is an 8 speed with 568hp
The S model in 2018-2019 is an 8 speed with 580hp same weight as the 2014 almost and has a better suspension
How much better is the sound on the Volante with roof down vs. the coupe with just windows down?
Thanks!
That drive looks beautiful where is that?
nothing says class like an aston v12 at half throttle from 2.5-4k rpm
The Vanquish has never given me the absolute Aston Martin vibe. I would prefer a Vantage over a Vanquish
it's so pretty 😳😳
I want one soo Bad 😩😩😩
+1 for voluptuous!
Could you sometime drive a mercedes SL W129 or W230? I would really like your impressions on these cars. great videos btw;)
Kind regards from Switzerland
real question is would you pick this over the s65 convertible, yes its more powerful buts also a lux gt

i legitimately fell asleep to the drive (favorite v12 now), awesome video
Styling looks like it could have came out last year minus some parts of the interior but screens are getting way too big nowadays

Gorgeous vehicle , great sounding performing engine!
That interior is dated though looks dated .
Still great looking, sounding , performing car !
The new ones have a nicer interior, but this steering wheel is 10x better
I always wanted one of these but Lambert said we didn't have the budget.
Legless children ? for real tho LOL
anyone who considers the transmission to be a deal breaker doesn't get the point of this car.
Nah but I'd never buy a auto Aston, not like I could
11:56 took a glimpse at the mirror and it felt like a fast and furious movie
Ted the whole car is carbon fibre panel wise…but it’s still very heavy..
is this v12 odd-firing or even-firing?
Classy and very tasty!
Tedward can you drive our Malaysia car proton X70 👍😁😁
No tunnels???
No tunnels here. Build one for me!
Come borrow my Rapide S 8spd for a weekend and drive it through NYC tunnels…I will pay for the tolls! 😂
Legless Children 🤣
Best looking car ever made?
Looks alot like my Saturn Sky
Aston LC500
A koop is something you keep chickens in....
That’s a coop.
Beautiful machine. To me, the only giveaway at how old this car is is the center display screen. It just looks positively tiny in comparison to current gen vehicles.
The tachometer is going the wrong way, haha
Honestly, that steering wheel looks like the steering wheel of the opel astra lmao
Ha ha… look at that Nav screen. How can you be a spy with that .
FYI, solar radiation penetrates clouds. You still need sunscreen.

Promo-SM
Every panel is carbon fibre.
wow, just look at the fuel gauge goes

great video...great car...from Italy
steering wheel ruins it for me
