@@JaceingtonSteele I cannot justify wasting my time again should it return for S2. Unless the twist is they already filmed it and it’s dropping next week haha.
i would have preferred they ended with episode 9 if they want to turn this into a multiple season story. episode 10 was a mistake. or they should have just made this a self-contained limited series and made every episode actually count,
I have NO idea who the killer is as I have NO idea if there were any murders at all. I also have NO idea how to tell when she's in a coma or not. I'm just confused ( LOL) and too dissappointed with epi 10 that I m not interested in rewatching 1-9. Regarding other Ryan Murphy work did you watch "Ratchet"? I enjoyed it and was looking forward to it's return. Lastly ,I just happened upon your station but will be checking in again for your other content. I thought I heard you mentioned SERVANT, that was great show and would love to hear your thoughts/reviews on it OOPs one more question: Are you watching FROM?.
So confusing and not in a good way! Thank you so much for watching and checking in - I did mention Severance which is coming back for S2 in January (I think I lumped it into end of 2024) and to answer your question YES! Watching FROM (loving S3!!) and actually covering it over at @yellowjacketshive TV Buzz!! We're interviewing "Julie" next week! Now that's a mysterious mind-bending show that provokes thought in a good way and leaves me craving more! Check out our coverage at YellowjacketsHive.com - Question for you - do you watch Yellowjackets????
Yes, I love Ryan. I am not mad at him. I am not confused about the show. I think it was never about a killer or a coma in its core. It is a comment about society. His thoughts and opinions in darker hours laid in the mouths of unlikeable characters that are purposely written that way. The "story" is just a tapestry so that he can change perspectives and doesn't have to stick with one particular opinion. The dream/coma trick is built-in so the story is freed from logic. I think it was basically art therapy for him to deal with the last years. I tried to cover this show as well but stopped after the first episode already. Because, yeah it felt too personal and like a psychoanalysis file. In the last official behind the scenes they revealed that Grotesquerie just exists in (our) mind. And it was a very grotesque choice for a final episode ... So very befitting in a way. If there is one more rabbit hole a season 2 could take us: it would be AI/the future. Because I don't think this technology as well as this very specific device on that Dr's table is common in our reality. So it could be all an advanced virtual AI test game for Louis to test human investigation skills.
@MediaMelanieTV Yes, because they brought up the Boston Dynamics Dogs but she was so convinced that she was better, so why not test her theory and put her in an artificial coma where she has to act out/investigate every possiblity to compare her with AI. It could be a whole experimental government program in the near future (defund the police). Someone mentioned on X to me that she called certain numbers from the show/even the coordinates and they all led her to some government/security stuff. (The series could also be secretly completely AI generated and Ryan just takes the blame.)
So underwhelmed with this mess. My wife pointed out it has to either be a dream still or AI or something “not real” because if you see when Louis walked into the crime scene at the end all the other “workers” completely free like they are actual robots. It was so obvious they were not real people. We almost threw in the towel after ep 6 but didn’t and we were kicking ourselves that we didn’t. We too have decided not to jump on any more RM shows going forward. It’s been trash after season 4 of AHS aside from a couple episodes of Horror Stories!!!
@ Oh for sure. And I hate being so negative but it’s truly how I felt. I mentioned a possible AI theory in a prior video and couldn’t totally see that playing into things…but would have liked some kinda hint of it more than just speculation especially after 10 damn eps
Up to episode 6 I loved this show but episode 7 and you discover it was all a coma crap I thought I’d give it a chance to see where it was going hoping it could hook me again - I mean it had Niecy in it and that guy Kelce and a stellar supporting cast. But having watched all remaining episodes I realised every episodes added more and more questions. It reminded me of a horror version of Lost where they had flash forwards of the characters in purgatory and the series ended with many threads unanswered. Do the writers even have an end goal in mind or are they simply winging it like Lost, self absorbed in their own cleverness to waste every one’s time. What a let down. And a season finale should end with some mystery answered. I mean Silo we discover the outside really is an inhospitable wasteland but what do we find with this. Not one answer but more confusing queries and this men speech from Lois husband and everyone clapping over this misogynistic BS with it’s flaky logic- and now what, need to wait months, possibly years for season 2. My wife has been waiting for the latest season of Outlander for what seems like decades so by the time season 2 comes about how many will be invested enough to watch this crap after it has given not one clue in the finale on wtf is going on
I'm done with Grotesquerie! What a complete waste of time! I hope it doesn't get a 2nd season. I started watching it because it looked scary. I thought it would be a good show to watch for Halloween. And I like Niecy Nash. Good gosh! Was I wrong! I don't care what happens. I've done my time, I'm out!
I absolutely hated this "finally" I feel like there is no making sense of this episode. There were so many new plots introduced for what? Instead of giving answers. Hated it n I loved your review
@ they already had a huge plot twist and that’s fine. Now, one minute she looks like a disaster in a psych ward and the next minute she’s all dolled up and heading to a repeated crime scene where she’s running the show. No more plot twists….im out, they lost me.
@@YoHey13 Just a completely bizarre unfolding of events in non-sensical ways. Did not do it for me either! For a sec I was like is the psych ward the twist and she's been in a big delusion vs. a coma. Nope. Waste of time.
