Lovely meals once again, Cheryl. I have, within the past year, relocated from Pittsburgh,Pennsylvania to the Hudson Valley in New York. This week I was so excited to find a new UK inspired pie shop had opened nearby. I have been trying to sample the type of pies you feature very often. Unfortunately, the price they are charging was not anything I wished to pay. An individual Steak and Ale pie was USD $20 ( UK pound 15.54)!
Wow, that is exorbitant for an individual pie. We have a pie company here in Alexandria VA, Kiwi Pies, that makes really good individual pies that cost about $8.50. A bit pricey by British standards, but when you’re craving a pie and can’t be bothered making your own, well gotta splurge once in a while. They make a pork and green chili pie that is so good, in addition to traditional steak and ale, roast lamb, etc.
Hello Cheryl. Thanks for your videos. May I make a small suggestion? Would you cut back on the spinning plates? By the time you have turned them twice I need to close my eyes to stop feeling dizzy. I think once we've seen the dish front and back there's no need to keep repeating the action. Looking forward to seeing more dishes.
Another wonderful week. The meatballs and the Lasagna were my favourite this week. Yummy. Our weather is definitely cooler overnight here now, so perfect food for us.

Oh my! The spaghetti and meatballs look delicious. I love to add mushrooms to spaghetti. Probably my all time favorite meal. I think I will try the chicken and mushroom pie next. I am a bread lover so you can never go with a pie. Thank you so much for the videos, they are presented beautifully.
Hi Cheryl, Happy Mothers Day, cant believe we are so into March already. I've still to check out the soup how to make video carrot and coriander and I really like smoked haddock so I might like cullen sink too. You do make such lovely stuff, I hope people get you treats at times too. I push myself to having a new snack today- Lidl granola, totally delicious and glad I did despite all the ingredients that worry me like nuts, they are all needed for energy! x

I was surprised you hadn’t heard of tuna noddle casserole,it’s pretty well known here,though lots of people say they don’t like hot canned tuna,l prefer it over cold tuna salads,and I know I wouldn’t like it on a baked potato, I like a hot topping on my baked potatoes.

When you bring something like your Cullen Skink to eat out with friends, how do you manage that? Are chippeys/restaurants in Scotland not concerned about “outside food”? I think most places in the US you couldn’t get away with that.
That looked gorgeous, but who can eat 2 jacket potatoes???? The tuna pasta with 3 dough balls is massive, the lasagna looked really tasty, the hotpot looked really nice, U do some really good meals 😉😋
Love this time on a Sunday when this video drops. I’m an Englishman with Irish ancestry on the paternal side and Scottish on maternal side. I love some of the national dishes and I think British food gets a bad rap. That said, if I were a guest on Saturday Kitchen, Cullen Skink would be my food hell! 🤢 🔥 😈

When I was growing up in the late 1940s,we never had corn,and my first experience with corn was on the areoplane on my way to America in 1065,but I know that corn was grown as animal feed,and it wasn’t sweet,or tender,so I think when the UK started having the sort of eating corn we have,they needed to differentiate between the two types of corn so they started calling it sweet corn, that is my opinion,of cause I could be wrong,but it makes sense.

I love a good tuna salad, like the one that goes on your potatoes. Sometimes we put cut up hard boiled egg in it with some dill pickle relish.
