Ooh, that's a familiar looking portal ;) The first dig is around 12 years old, really needs propping up more now. I have the plans to that place, we've so much more too see with srt! The backfilled level is accessible, I helped dig it ;) Yep, think that level was worked up to 57. Yep, left hand leads to a head in shale, but that arch has the nice manway, leads up to a vein on the maps. On the left hand branch, the vein, at the arch, runs at right angles to the heading. Low oxygen back on left branch due to poor circulation too. I won't tell you why it's called the 'shaft of eternal tears', you'll have to see on a future adventure ;) Ya, those workings up the ladder are so unstable, only place I've nearly see somebody get killed.
Also , have you watched the new Sid perou 4 part documentary "call out" ? It is about the history of UK cave rescue and we'll worth watching on his channel.
Hi Antonio, with the Gypsum crystals it's pronounced like jipsum 😉 A very arduous crawl that first bit, then quite a few nasty squeezes, shale is so dangerous, it's really horrible stuff. Just an idea but wouldn't it be safer to wear the Oxygen meters closer to the ground because a lot of toxic gasses are heavier than air so they will sink to the lower part of the tunnel etc then when you guys walk you will be helping the gas to mix with the air. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx ❤
Sweating underground can be a sign of oxygen decreasing normally temperature underground is constant unless there is no air flow as in the case of the mines you are exploring that dont have joining raises or open stopes hello from Australia opal miner here
The hard work that has gone into these mines is amazing.
I’m enjoying your channel. I appreciate your narration. You’re a good teacher. Thanks.

Hey Tony, great video and a bit of a tough crawl in places. I would like to see the upper levels at some point. Great work lads.👍👍👍
Hi you guys Amazing mine exploring! In Australia the first part would be full spiders .
Looking forward to part 2. Thank you Antonio 😊

Jjjjj not ggggg 😂🙏🏼 thanks for your tips on the Gas meter !.. yes it’s really horrible stuff to crawl through as you can see on the video 😂
@Richie Wellock The gas would most likely settle on top of the water in this case. I'm no expert though. x
@Richie Wellock Lol, as deep as to get it done 😉 x
