Trying to decide between the 350 EXC-F and the 500 EXC-F. I'm not a big guy, 160 lbs. Most everyone says 350 for woods, 500 for desert, but you made that 500 work pretty well in the canyon. Did you consider the 350?
I did. In fact I sold a bike but picked up a 2023 450 instead. The 350 was definitely a top choice, but I found the 2023 450 for 3k less than normal and all 350s were 2024. I don't have any seat time on the 350s unfortunately. Like you said, 350 is what most suggest. The 500 is extremely capable no doubt. I have the GET ECU from Taco Moto Co and that really wakes up the 500. It's super friendly, lots of torque and yet the top end doesn't seem to stop! It's unreal when you want it to be. It's very manageable through all the harder enduro stuff I take the 300. The 500 would be the bike I'd pick if it came down to one for everything. Fantastic bikes!
500 power 💪💪💪!!! Those bikes can do anything! You made the sand hill look like nothing!!! Nicely done!
Thanks! Yep 500s are so crazy versatile. They do anything from tough slot canyons to hauling butt back home on the highways! ;)
