It's funny how simple little things la Crisco commercials brings back good memories of my childhood. Plus I love Loretta Lynn. I'm gonna miss her. I've been in the kitchen where they made some of those commercials. I love visiting Hurricane Mills and I got to see her concert in Hiawassee.
I loved Loretta's Crisco commercials with family. I wasn't happy that she was not allowed to talk like she normally did. Instead of her iconic It'll do you proud EVER TIME. They made her say EVERY TIME. She should have been allowed to say it HER WAY. Look at how some talk now.
You can't make a homemade pie crust with olive oil or biscuits with olive oil yuk. A mixture of butter and lard is great too...50/50. The point of sweets was never healthy anyway lol 😆 🙃 😂
Doo ate too much of Loretta's cookin' and got diabetes!! He should have danced more to burn off the sugar and carbs from the chicken, shrimp croquettes and the turnovers!!!
@@TheBrownIsland True, but most people ate more or less like that in the past, yet obesity and diabetes weren't as prevalent as they are now. I am assuming that she ate her own cooking as well and she was never obese and never had diabetes. He had plenty of bad habits that had nothing to do with her cooking. Now he could have overate when she cooked, true, but that would have been a minor factor. With his lifestyle, you are going to run into problems sooner or later even if you eat "clean" and super low calorie.
I remember these Crisco commercials back in the day with Loretta. ❤

Poor Doolittle died from diabetes.
@@SJ-ni6iy But Loretta lived into her 90s! And Doolittle was also a hard drinker and probably a smoker.

I doubt that it was her cooking considering that she wasn't exactly home often enough to cook. It was the drinking alright.
His saying habits definitely contributed to his diabetes and weight gain. But he drank like a fish, according to Loretta. Both are bad in excess.
@@mchobbit2951 She did a lot of Cooking & Barking when she was home though.🏡
@@mchobbit2951 And the smoking.
