I have to say Norfolk State and Bethune have the drums tuned very well. The tones are just very pleasant. Bass drums don't sound thin, doesn't get annoying.

What I dig so much about this line is how they incorporate the precision of “corps” style(tighter tunings across the whole line, tonal bass drums) while keeping the Funk and Groove, that’s so consistent in the HBCU tradition! I’m feelin the use of tambo and Cowbell dispersed throughout as well! Clean and Groovin!
Extremely disciplined, uniformity in uniforms neat, attractive in appearance but not gaudy? I can see why they rate well. It shows better than I articulated, impressive. I must say I am proud of all the bands... the time, pride, and dedication put into them.
First time watching them. I have a friend that loves them. Their style is unique.
