The character Sonny is played by actor Stephan W Burns. Tragically, just four years later in 1990 he died at the young age of 35 from AIDS. He contracted the virus unknowingly in 1984 from a blood transfusion which saved his life from injuries he sustained in a serious car accident. He's best remembered for starring in the Disney feature film "Herbie Goes Bananas" and appeared in 3 memorable episodes of the legendary mini-series called "The Thorn Birds." A very talented actor, who we lost way too soon.
The two main characters seem like the type of guys who request the same waitress at Buffalo Wild Wings every time they come in.

I can't even imagine anyone wanting to make this movie and show it in a theater! No glamour, no drama, no interesting characters; Greydon Clarke movies are riveting compared to this!

i like how the people who made this movie didn't know anything about volleyball,basic human interactions or even real life tbh XD I understand they wanted to make a "sports movie" but bloody hell..
I'd like to see dodgeball take off as a professional sport.

But me and my Dad would watch the film on TV whenever it was on. It's one of Ben Stiller's greatest/best movies ever made. As much as I liked Vince Vaughn as the main lead, seeing Ben Stiller as the main guy wouldn't have been a bad idea either. I just wish "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story", had gotten a sequel...

Yes , Natasha Shneider. She was an amazing musician. She got a band with her husband Alain Johannes, named Eleven. They played with Chris Cornell, Queens Of The Stone Age and other bands. Sadly she died of cancer in 2008.
