- This is a fabulous excursion to do when visiting Ketchikan, Alaska. Have you thought about that oyster that you are about to swallow? Do you know how long it takes to grow an oyster?
Visit Salmon Falls Resort in Ketchikan for some fishing and take a day to visit the Oyster Farm. They can set it up for you, just a short boat trip to learn about some amazing facts about oysters. Tour takes a couple of hours and you are able to sample some oysters at the end, don't forget to try their Kelp Salsa- I promise, you wont be disappointed.

I love oysters! And I never knew much about them, I just knew that the quality of the water they live in is so important when eating them raw. And I never knew Alaska grew oysters! Nice video, I learned so much!
