Lou Will is always the name i bring up when debating disparity in modern days vs 90s and before. I say Lou Will was a very good player by all meaaures, now drop that same player in the 70s or 80s and that same guy is instantly at the very least a consistent all star player which probly means hed be a HOFamer. But the difficulty it is to play in modern basketball means hes gonna be forgotten about by most when he was pretty filthy and deserves more credit.
I can give 2 ducks about the sixers, but watching Maxey play is scary, the dude is so fast, and like he said, he's improving in every deficit each year.
I know Tyrese was being humble but he for sure can be an all star in his career. I honestly think he can have multiple all stars on his resume. No reason to believe this guy can’t compete with the best of him.
Good offense leads to good defense. When the other team doesn't get a defensive rebound, it's easier to set up a half court defense. That's why playing defensive players van lead to a worse defense if their offense is too insufficient. That's probably what gives a better defensive rating even though Melton is a better defensive player than Maxi
Question for JJ, how the heck do 150 reporters, editors, producers and analysts at ESPN leave Derrick White off the TOP100 NBA players? Do they look at or understand ANY advanced metrics? Do they watch the games? Frankly, ESPN has been awful for quite some time and caters to the loudest & most outrageous voices/takes in the room. Its probably why they don't appreciate Derrick White's style of play. Really hope ESPN loses broadcasting rights to the NBA after the next deal and you jump ship because it's sinking. Note: ESPN's NBArank panel, composed of nearly 150 reporters, editors, producers and analysts, were asked to rank players based on their predicted contributions -- quality and quantity -- for the 2023-24 season only.
Lou Williams balling out in Toronto was one of my favorite regular seasons to watch
6 man like Lou Will, magical time in the city
Oh yeah, that was a magical time. What a time to be alive, it was.

Big fan of Tyrese Maxey and his game true talent and personality. Kid plays with so much heart.
Just coming off a Lou highlights binge watch some days ago. Gonna miss him.
Going to watch some now 🤝

You drop Lou Will in the 70s especially they'd be calling that man the GOAT 😂
@nickwayne2767 they'd be calling traveling on him
This video was not about Lou Williams lol
Right like wtf
Thank you!

Hmm... who wasnt a problem for JJR 1on1? He was a good team defender, but a liability 1on1
JJ acting like he wasnt a traffic cone on d 😂
5:06 "I want to be a Knick" .. my FAVORITE PART
“Lou Will was a problem to guard”…
JJ Redick couldn’t guard a chair to save his life😂😂😂
Everyone was a problem to guard from JJ perspective 😂
nahh he was ok against kobe in the finals, dwight just couldn’t handle lakers frontcourt
J.J. was actually a solid perimeter defender when he was with Orlando. He limited Ray Allen in the 2009 ECSF at times.
I was searching for this comment 😂
@@dannydoorod Well we're all glad that you idiots found one another. Lol.
My favorite 6 man
1:18 that went over his head jj lol
He cares very rare in today's basketball game.
I know Tyrese was being humble but he for sure can be an all star in his career. I honestly think he can have multiple all stars on his resume. No reason to believe this guy can’t compete with the best of him.
Lou Will, Nawfside legend 🤟🏾
as a pistons fan maxey is one of my favorites to watch. he just seems fearless on the court
also he’s already proven to be a much better player than projected.
Love this kid.
Lou Will is the UNDERGROUND GOAT 🐐.
Certified Bucket Getter.
Was this title AI generated or something? They don’t talk about Lou until the last 30 seconds of the clip

Title: "Tyrese Maxey on overcoming adversity"
Maxey, haliburton, edwards are the future
To be fair, guarding anyone was a problem for jj
Lou Will and Jamal Crawford will always go down as the best players off the bench
The best 6 man will always be Ginobili but it's really not fair because he went to the bench when he should've still been starting.
ginobili or iguodala all day
Let's get real... for JJ, just about any nba talent was a defensive problem. ;)
JJ Redick couldn't guard a park car
Tommy got hair?
He really was 😂
Bit of a clickbait title but we’ll let it slide JJ

Lou could’ve been James harden if he left at the right time. Just like when harden left OKC
Barely talked about Lou🤨
Lou Williams was great, but he could not guard, even on the weakside. Perfect 6th man.
I’m glad Doc rivers is gon this man is a star .. James harden stop him frm being great too
Click Bait
FIRST!! 🤩🥳
Sorry to advise nobody cares

@@nickwood1997lol
I wanna see jj in a 3 point challebge

Good offense leads to good defense. @jjredick
