      Yea. Let’s see. 2 months of “winning “ against Hamilton and Ottawa. Then they played Hamilton in the playoffs. Then Toronto self destructed like no other team in history. Then you got extremely lucky against a FAR BETTER but beat up Bomber team, “winning it” in the last 12 SECONDS. Now you’ve beaten EDMONTON and a Bomber team that lost a crap load of players, to “The Grey Cup champions “ who lost virtually NO ONE. Now WHY wouldn’t ANYONE want your players??

      @@KyleJon Yeah, Toronto self destructed, Als defense didn't do anything, right? Not at all... no Dequoy 100+ TD return from interception and 21 total points from Toronto turnovers caused by them. And how a "FAR BETTER" team managed to lose in Grey Cup? Maybe because they were not that good? And yeah, winning in the last 12 seconds is not "lucky", it's being a BETTER team when it mattered the most. Winnipeg didn't do good in the last three plays by Fajardo and his team.
      And what do you mean by "no one wants Als players"? You know that Austin Mack and Lwal Uguak signed with NFL teams, right?
      PS. Edmonton looked great tonight, Montreal defense once again showed why Als are champions.

      @@teo_heel Your “team” played Tiddly Winks for the last 2 months, then played tiddly winks the first 2 weeks of the playoffs. Winnipeg was playing 2 months of Saskatchewan, BC, Saskatchewan Bc, Calgary and were basically injured and worn out. Your RIDICULOUS team scored THREE POINTS against the Bombers game 1, then to prove it wasn’t a fluke, scored THREE POINTS the second game. THREE. Not three on the first drive. THREE POINTS IN SIXTY MINUTES. Who TF does that? Not a “championship team.” Now your loser QB thinks he is Doug Flutie or something. So in 2 games against WESTERN opponents, you had scumbag Stubblefield get injured for the whole year. (Totally hilarious. Tries to injure Streveller the play before, then gets injured for the whole year.) Then your receiver gets injured for 6+++ games. Snead? Then your receiver got knocked da f*** out tonight against Edmonton. See what it’s like in the WEST? Your path to the cup was even more pathetic than the Coilers.

    As a CFL fan - COME ON Edmonton and get out there and SUPPORT YOUR TEAM! You’ll only support them when they’re winning??? They have to be in the grey cup every year or you’ll abandon them??? The riders haven’t been back to the big game since 2013 yet the stands full ! Same with Winnipeg! 29 years and no grey cup wins yet the stands were full ! Get behind your team !!!

      Yeah... I don't understand that at all. It seems that most "fans" of Edmonton were bandwagoners who only cared about them when they were great.
      I'm a new fan of CFL and I gravitate towards Edmonton because they're struggling. I'm all about great teams having a bad period. I have a great example in Russian Soccer. FC Spartak Moscow was at one point the dominant force, they won all but one Russian Championship in 90s. But in recent years, especially after an unexpected championship in 2016-2017 season team is not doing great. Team is still considered a contender every year, but sometimes they end very low in the table. But fans are still supporting them no matter what.

      @georgelukowich8987 Месяц назад +2

      There are so many factors into why there are less fans. For one, this last game there was a tornado/storm warning. Name change completely aside, the Management & Community Ownership haven't given a flying f**k about the fans for nearly a decade. After we won the cup in 2015, the quality has dropped in everything. The quality of swag dropped significantly & price of food is astronomically high for the poor quality. Even small things like throwing mini footballs after touchdowns, they haven't thrown any in the upper bowl for years. They haven't had a good halftime show since 2016. I was a season ticket holder with my Dad for nearly two decades in the upper bowl and there were hundreds of others sitting near us with season tickets. They lost all of us when they announced there won't be an upper bowl and demanded we pay as new "season ticket holders". Then, with less then a month before the season started, they offered to grandfather us in if we went to the lower bowl on the 10yard line. Who would want to pay the same price of seeing the entirety of the field and how the plays/drives set up for basically seeing just one endzone the entire game? Tie in the fact that Jones just has a rotating door of players who have made zero difference, how Tre Ford finally showed us signs of life and then Jones goes and grabs (who I still think is beyond overrated) b/c Ford isn't mature enough to hide the fact that he despises Canadian QBs (see what he did to the poor kid in Sask). All in all, Edmonton fans are trying there best, but when you see how Oilers & the RiverHawks (baseball) treat their fans far better and actually try to make the games entertaining, it leaves a real shitty taste in your mouth to want to cheer for the team.

He needs to learn a lot if he wants to really become a legend in CFL. For one great play of him there were two or three mediocre plays or even interceptions. Yes, his stat line is 12 TDs and 6 INT in 2023, but he had 2 TDs and 5 INTs in 2002. He's not that stable yet. Chris Jones signed MBT to motivate him. MBT isn't doing great, but he's not a bad player. A bad player would've not be the passing leader in 2022 and passing touchdowns leader in 2019 in CFL and passing yards leader in USFL in 2023. He will teach Tre Ford a lot.

    How can a professional team be this bad for so many years. You all are a joke

    • @teo_heel
      @teo_heel Месяц назад +1

      Just three years... three years. Like come on... Detroit Lions were awful for 10+ years and no one asked a thing. It happens, in every league some teams will not do good. And Elks are not that bad this season. Both losses were in close games that could've ended differently if Elks would just do a bit better. They want to win, it's clear as day. Sometimes they want it a bit too much though and it ends with them making mistakes.

      I'm pretty sure that about 15000 - 20000 people were at the stadium, but because of its size it seems that there were not so many people. Commonwealth Stadium is one of the biggest stadiums in CFL with 55000 seats.
      And UFL is not even on the pro level at this point despite the looks. I'm pretty sure that UFL won't survive and they will follow the path of AAF, USFL, XFL and many other spring leagues.

      The CFL has been “dying” pretty much since its inception in 1958. In Library and Archives Canada you can find a document written by some House committee from 1969 explaining that the inevitable addition of an NFL Toronto within the next decade was going to destroy an integral part of Canadian culture. In Pinball’s memoir which was written in the late 90s I think, he says that the NFL will expand to Toronto within the next ten years. It’s never happened at it never will. Let alone a UFL team. Attendance doesn’t tell the whole story. BC’s attendance has been able to jump and all it took was one new owner. One person to change how things were done and they have a vibrant fan base. Exact same could be all Edmonton needs without some low attendance being the downfall of a 160-year tradition.

      Eskimos was a very weird name for a sports team. I'm pretty sure not a single Eskimo actually played for them and not a single Eskimo lives in Alberta. And its a derogatory term after all even if not every inuit agrees with that.
