I love how they say .. ITS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. How do we tell of theres a water leak. The only way we can tell if we have a high water bill. Its their responsibility to tell us to notify us as soon as possible it theirs a potential water leak. Its not our fault that cause the leak but its our responsibility to fix it.
why would you check your pipes if your bill is not high or unordinary until you receive your bill you would not suspect an issue until you opened your bill obviously unless you had low pressure or an obvious leak but not one underground between your watermain and house you would never know
@@tdizzle2179 you check it for the exact same reason you should check your cars fluids weekly; To prevent problems. Also, you would know if you check the meter and see it spinning when there should be no water running. You don’t have to wait until it explodes to stay on top of your houses maintenance.
I also got photos and video this day October 20th 2023 of them being out here I video the meter and I also recorded what they did today it was supposed to be done by the 18th or not done at all I'm still yet here they are they did not change the meter.
What do you do if water is coming out of an underground squirrel tunnel in the middle of my back yard and the red triangle wheel is not spinning on my water meter and the numbers don't change either unless I turn on the water hose?

And when they turned the what I felt was the water gauge the one where you turn the water off and on it took them great effort to turn that bolt and I had no problem with water flow so when they did that they said they fixed the problem I do not believe them.😢 I am disabled and I do not need it's a continuous thing.
Water moving back into the city. Lots of houses have one way valves so that no water from a homeowners property can cross contaminate city water. That being said many houses do not have these one way valves. This also depends on city ordinances or code whether or not its required
Some places have a minimum usage fee. That means you can use up to the 5000 gallons without any additional cost. However, at 5001 gallons they may begin charging a small charge per gallon (where I live it is about 1 cent per gallon). It is the same way power charges customers also.

Well you can also do checks on your pipes to make sure there is no leak? You don’t have to wait for a high bill

The red needle on mine is the leak detector as there is no small star detector meter is new just 4 months old.

looks like you subtract the previous reading from the most current reading and round down to the closest 100 cu ft
