That's amazing to add visual reader option after taking the picture of text. Very useful for myself recently being I'm on my mobile only I am able to have a free hand since I don't need to hold to read.
In the Actions section, the extracting text feature works also for existing images from our phone. In the Actions section, just click the image you are interested in.
Thank you for taking your time to teach others on M/S Lens. I have Lens on my iPhone 12 and love it, but when I try to email it the app defaults to one of my email addresses that isn't my preference. Can you tell me how to change the default email address in Lens?
Lens will default to your Microsoft account. If you click the three little dots at the top right of the screen- you will see a “settings” option pop up. Under that, you will see accounts and you can change it.
@@LearningandTechnology - Wow Frank, that was a VERY FAST reply. I did what you said, but after Settings I see "Account" and "About". I clicked on "Account" and it shows "Connected Services", but no accounts listed, however I can add an account, but that's strange since when I try to email a scanned document it lists my two email accounts (hotmail, which I prefer and gmail which I don't prefer, but the app defaults to it). Hmm?
Sliding over to "Actions" I am told by dialog box that to enter Actions all current images will be deleted. I am on iOS 17.2 (early 2024 at time of writing) OCR or saving to OneNote requires allowing Microsoft access to your content handled by Lens in passage to OneNote. I will have to do more research on how they night be using all the data, even if it's "annonimized" (if this is the right term... Perhaps this changed since video creation but if so illustrates how often Office changes its interface or loses features. I am particularly interested in OCR for one-off tasks like capture of one document by iPhone. But the details of Microsoft's Privacy warning that shows when allowing the "Enhanced Sharing" is creepy and off-putting just to avoid some re-typing...
It’s a sequencing issue - if you go to Actions first - then - scan for OCR. It will let you take an image and do the conversion. It’s a bit odd in that it says “extracting data”, but it pulls the text.

@@sman6435 I think that by adding Hotmail and selecting it - it “should” use that account. I’ll have to test this and get back to you
Can I scan 27 pages and be able to read with Lens.
How to share multiple file in one time bcoz I don't watse my time to sharing files one-by-one
I have a video on the CZUR book scanner (a few videos actually). When I need to do a larger job - that’s what I use.
@@LearningandTechnology ok thanks, let me check and one big hug 🫂 for your quick response (reply) :)

It's not support with my device (samsung galaxy s6) and what is the reason for that?
hi, for text extraction the application does not recognize handwriting!
The workaround for that is to open it in OneNote - which is more powerful in that regard
@@LearningandTechnology thank you. it's still a feature that is lacking in office lens!
