Interesting. If I recall correctly, Cream tends to have an ability of this style in Whisper of Soul & CN: Eye of Three. And it looks to be just as powerful as it is in those games. However, the trade-off of it cancelling flight is honestly a pretty good design choice, making it so the player can't just use it mindlessly.
