This is the single most important video for me...why do I not keep coming back to this every day. Thank you again Chris
Difficult to find a better teacher, this is wonderfull, thx Chris
Do you know what I’ve been missing something in my swing for an awfully long time I’m a nine handicap but something was missing this drill has helped me so much change my swing thank you
That is a fantastic explanation of what we should do on extension! I am going to include this in my driving range routine!
I’ve been looking for this video for 20 years ⛳️🏌️
took a video at the range yesterday- noticed three things- my club face is slightly open on takeaway, I do not rotate back thru the ball well-so I have a partial "chicken wing" and thirdly my weight remains back. That explains my mediocre 85 yesterday! Work on one thing at a time- but I know what I need to work on at least. I am re watching your drills again today Chris.
Chris what a fantastic drill and great explanation of post impact extension best I've found 👍 great work
thanks Chris!...I always had a very good pivot, but never really knew how to have a good delivery with the club into impact...your drills on extending the club after impact really gave me a solid foundation for a consistent impact position...
Very impressive video - clear, concise, and informative. Thanks!
You’re one of the best I’ve seen Chris. Great explanations and very helpful and professional graphic overlays!
Great tip and explanation using the club and left arm to feel the extension into follow through
This video was great. Clear explanation with helpful drills. Thanks!
Great tips that I've been able to work on in my living room when not at the range. Thx Chris
you are the best instructor in here!
one of the best golf instructors in YT.
I have learned an incredible amount by watching your videos, and I am getting greatly improved results. thank you for putting these out!
Excelent concentration and detalising of the most important subject in downswing , impact and follow-throught. Thank you Chris!
This drill fixed one of my many problems. Thanks Chris!
Chris, brilliant video, well presented and well shot and framed, no annoying annotations. Took the advice to the driving range and it started to make me take more consideration to the club face and my hip rotation. Thanks
I so need to practice these drills. Thanks for posting
Wonderful video! With informations e all details very well explained! I suffer with arm extension at impact, I frequently "pull" my arms, and the shots become short! Thank you very much! I am going to try this at the driving range!
spot on description of the "feel" . that's what I needed to understand
Very helpful video, I really needed these extensions tips to fix my chicken wing, thank you Chris
Thanks for the great information. I was wondering if you have any drills for better balance through impact? Keep up the great work Chris.
You are a FANTASTIC teacher sir!
Exactly what I was looking for...great video and instruction.
Very nice explanation Chris! Thanx a lot.
Hi Chris
Your "Better Extension" video is really good!
No other golf teacher taught so clearly!
THX!!!
Philip
Thanks Philip
Another superb video - thank you so much Chris!
this is a awesome lesson and 2 tips to keep those arms extended through impact
Thanks Thomas
great video, it feels like throwing with the right arm against an engaged triceps for arms to stay straight and the body to continue to turn. thank you!
Great video. This is my problem. Will work on this tomorrow!!
Great advice, thank you for the drills!
The best explanation on extension!!!!
Although it's unrelated to this instruction vid I watched one of Chris's videos about 3 shots you wouldn't normally think of playing, I'm a 15 handicap and I learnt how to draw the ball around a tree (power draw I think it's called,) it worked first time, I was gob smacked, I then repeated the shot approximately 10-15 times. I had known idea you could play this shot.
Great video Chris! Did the drills prior to playing today and striking ball much better. Thanks!
Thanks for the next 2 steps in my swing changes. Have been trying to get the club in the first position you suggested from a previous video and now I have the next part that is needed to complete the swing. Looking for more distance from these tips and drills. Thanks again for your excellent instruction.
Leigh D thanks Leigh
Awesome drills Chris! I know it's an old video but it's very timely I came across it. :)
Thanks Bob 👍
Excellent video Chris! Thank you.
Your drills have helped me so much. Any chance you could do some on putting?
Wow, very helpful teaching!
love your instruction Chris, which might be enhanced with a remote mic closer to you. Can barely hear the great tips. Thanks much
You're the best, Chris!
Great timing. I am working on this same thing - stopping the arms collapsing too soon post impact. Basically, my top half moves too quickly around and not out and through. Will try these drills. Thankyou.
Thanks Chris for all the great tips
Great drills, loved it and very helpful.
Really good information, thanks for sharing.
Brilliant explanation, first video watched on this swing fault. I am doing this very thing in my swing. Great explanation and I will do those drills. Liked and subscribed !
Fantastic tips, thank you so much. so easy to understand.
Another great video, Chris. Your ideas and drills are neat. Thanks much.
Thanks
Very useful video thanks. I find the fairway woods a problem, topping the ball, overcorrecting and coming down too steeply. It would be great if you could do a video on the 3 wood, it's swing path, ball strike and divit. Also the stance and ball position for the 3 wood. Thanks,Chris GilroyDublin
Great tip/drill. Question: when I do record my swing, where should the camera be? Should it be on the target line or in line with my hands (or hips)? And at what height?
This is why I struggle to take a divot ! Thanks Chris for another great lesson 👍
Thank you! This is amazing instruction!
Great video. You have any others to help with extension?
wonderful breakdown Chris! Cheers
Great video, cleared up a lot of misconceptions and things I have never thought of. I am a new subscriber and would like your recommendation on where to start if you were new to golf and wanted to learn the game from the beginning. The video on the backswing and this one seem to be a great way to start. I would like to focus only on the full swing for this question to you. I take lessons regularly from a PGA pro and feel pretty comfortable with my progress on short game etc. thanks Dave
Hi David, I would definitely recommend continuing with your PGA Pro, but hoping some of my videos may help as well 👍
I think you can simplify it . You must follow right through the ball into a high position . Swing round the body . I find it helps if you look down the fairway , and think thats where I want it to land , look up, and thats the height I want on this shot .
Thank you so much!! 😊 Clear and so good, bravo! From Madrid
Thanks 👍
This was huge!!! Great info
Thanks Michael 👍
Great video as always!
Hi Chris, I am working on my downswing / release and this was very helpful! Worked well for mid irons, but struggling with hybrids, woods, and driver. Anything different that I should do other than ball position? Thanks!
This is a big problem of mine your drills are great. Hope to see progress soon
Tip top as always. You need to link up with the others and get some on course vlogs going.
Very well explained Chris!
Great drill thanks it helped me ⛳️😀
Wow once again, great video... thnx Chris
Thanks appreciate your comments
Righteous drill. Thanks.
Muchas gracias Cris. Estoy aprendiendo gracias a ti. No entiendo el ingles pero si tus movimientos. Gracias
Excellent lesson, but can you do a tutorial to include this very lesson along with shaft lean and wrist position at impact?
Great tips. Thank you
Ahmad Ghanem thanks Ahmad
Excellent ideas as always
Fantastic instruction.
You are right on with this video. Great insight and explained brilliantly. *****
Thanks
Chris I love your videos especially that one. I am a solid 7 and I'm sure if I could learn to transfer my weight properly and get better extension I could shave some strokes for sure. Have a great slow mo video of my swing and would love if you could have a look and let me know what you think. Thank you Chris
This should have way more views!
Good video as always. U also had a video before on correcting chicken wing and a drill to fold lead arm post impact. This drill seems to suggest no such folding of the lead arm. Can you please help to clarify. Tq
Great drills to practice away from the course - nice!
Got it! Thank you!
Thanks Chris, not just for this drill but I find all of your videos interesting and informative, good work mate
Great Job Chris.
Great video.. Is there anyway I can send you a swing video and you can explain why after impact my arms come across my body rather than down the line? My arms don't break down, but I extend to much inside I think.
nicely done and easy drill in the winter
I love the the follow through. But it seems to me that if I rotate the club face closed I’ll pull hook it. How do I avoid that? Thanks Chris. Cheers.
Great vid Chris.. one question.. can you compliment those drills with a feeling of release as well. An instructor I know and trust suggests part of the reason for my breakdown of arm structure amongst poor pivot is my failure to release the club
고마워요.... 강의잘들었어요.... Thank you for your tip. That is nice.
Chris! Thanx a lot. I have some similar trouble that really annoys me! But my issue seems to be swinging OVER THE TOP. That ALSO causes the LEFT hand to break down just because the club is going left just after impact and there's no way the left arm can stay straight no matter how hard you try. Could you comment on that please. Or do I have a misconception in my mind?.. The worst thing is, that the longer the club the more the left hand breaks. Ok with a wedge but a disaster with a driver. No feel of Y or straight line release whats so ever! Thank you!
those windmills are doing a bang up job...
Excellent video.
Great drill, will be working on this one thanks
Ali D thanks Ali hope it helps
Very nice explanation. Thanks
Thanks James
Is this isn't a golf teaching genius then I will never know what Is! Cheers mate, great teaching!
Thanks Tristan
May i ask, i’m topping the ball a lot, like all the time..The ball always makes progress, but definitely topped..... Should the arms be straight and back to address position during the impact??? Thanks John.
Think I have the body pivot issue. Will definitely try this drill.
if i do these mini movements at min 5:15, i feel that it would most likely cut the ball. the clubface feels nice and stable, but i would like to be able and draw it. my clubfacfe usually comes in to out quite a lot and than over releases after impact, clubface is to close post impact. thoughts?
Very good video.
Great video!!
If the club face is slightly open at last parallel, what do you recommend doing
this is my biggest struggle. Do I try to get the same extension with my driver. I tend to hit it OK. ( usually 65% FIR-avg 240 yds) But my iron play needs this drill. 9 cap.
do you do personalised video analysis..?
The power phase great drill .
Can this lead arm seperation cause top shots? Thanks
