    I wouldn't say Texas "needs" Space X but it's nice to have. Actually Space X needs Texas to remain a free, low tax, low government interference state to keep making giant gains in space exploration.

    Great video and great info! Only one little side note: The water deluge system is actually necessary for the suppression of sound waves, not the suppression of heat. Although I am sure it helps with the heat, if left unchecked the sound vibration/pressure wave would rip the launch mount to pieces.

    • @ernestgalvan9037
      @ernestgalvan9037 2 года назад

      It’s as much for heat suppression.. sound would tear it apart, heat would melt it…….

    • @maxxod1
      @maxxod1 2 года назад +7

      The amount of time the mounts are exposed to high temperatures is quite minimal. While the water deluge is helpful to reduce temperature and vibration to the mount and the area around the launch site, it primarily suppresses reverberated sound from shaking the rocket to pieces before it can even get off the ground.

    Just a note. The flag with the cannon which says “Come and take it” is a battle flag from the Alamo during Texas’s war for independence. It was designed as a direct response to general Santa Anna’s demand that the Texicans relinquish the cannon located in San Antonio to the Mexican Army. Many Texans still fly this flag in memory of those who fought and died for independence at the Alamo and as a way of keeping the unique Texan culture of brash and unadulterated independence alive. It serves a similar function to those Americans who fly the coiled rattlesnake flag which states “Don’t tread on me”. There is no reason to assume that the home owner referenced in this video flies this flag as a statement directed at Musk given the tens of thousands of Texans from all over the state who fly it or hang it in their homes and it is unkind at best, propaganda at worst, to imply such a thing.

    • @Levitiy
      @Levitiy 2 года назад +1

      You got the Alamo mixed up with another conflict. It's the Gonzales Flag actually. Santa Anna's men demanded the town of Gonzales to hand over the only cannon they had, which was crucial for defending themselves from raiders. Typical though, that their government became the raiders. Such is the case when power is centralized, like Lincoln or Santa Anna.
      The coiled snake is the Gadsden Flag.

    Nothing new here? This maybe 1001 video just added on RUclips just talking about the same exact thing nobody's talking about anything new about space or starship. They're just talking about exactly what you just talked about in your video and I'm trying to find something new. I'm sure this video will be great to new viewers are to anybody who doesn't know anything about SpaceX or starship? But for fans that already know everything there is to know about SpaceX and starship this is getting boring already lol. Anyways sorry if I came off of little rude just trying to be truthful anyways great job on the video hope to see some new in the future thanks
