Max Bemis is one of the best lyricists of the modern generation, and I can only pray that he continues to write music for the people who feel damaged and alone, so that they (eg myself and others) can feel like there are other people who have the same issues and are successful.
I went and saw them last November in Austin. I was front row and Coby tossed his drum stick to me but threw it short and it landed near the security guard. He picked it up and was going to give it to someone else but Coby tapped him on the shoulder, took it back, and handed it to me to make sure I got it. So fucking awesome. I love this band.

i have this feeling that this song is about god, heaven and hell. cause they're lyrics like "you're in my body, that's where i think about you" and "there's a cemetery that's below the sea" (meaning hell) "there are places reserves for fools like me" (sinners) "and i'll face the one who made, my disgusting heart from a lump of clay, should he asked what got me through, if he asks me, it was you" - talking to god i could be reading too much into it though. what do you guys think?
I have a special place in my heart for this line-up because it was the first way I knew them. But this same group plus Kenny Vasoli replacing Alex Kent is pretty bad ass.
