    Good initial review. Did you check/and do you have an opinion on the adjustability?

    • @GearTestTV
      @GearTestTV  4 года назад +2

      So far I have only used it for boiling water, but from the little bit that I tested the adjustability, it seems very good. You can certainly turn the fuel way down before you lose the flame, so I think it would work well for cooking. Of course, the wind resistance is not as good at lower fuel rates, so you may want a wind screen for cooking in windy conditions. Thanks for asking! I'll be sure to cover that in future stove videos.

      GearTest_Outdoors That’s good news. A lot of the cheaper ones I have it seems like it’s all or barely nothing, with nothing in between. Thx for replying.

    Check out the Stanly pot set, the Lithic 131 and the pot set fits nicely together and if you leave one of the plastic cups out of the pot a small fuel cannister and the stove fits in nicely with a few odds and ends will also fit in

    just a week ago I bought my Lithic 131 for $15.00,it was on clearance at Walmart, I have the Stanly 4 piece cook pot and the cup that fits on the bottom, the lid fits both of them, I also at Walmart bought the plastic lid for liquid that fits on tight with rubber so that your coffee or hot cocco will stay hot while you sip it

    I keep finding my way back to your channel. I like your chill attitude. Earned a sub brother!
    Great review btw.

    This is a really fantastic review, thanks for the great info and insight. I just ordered this stove along with Lithic’s 21L ultralight day pack.
    The reviews on the day pack are so good and it’s supposed to be completely waterproof and crazy light - I was wondering if you were planning on reviewing it soon, would love to hear what you have to say. Keep up the hard work!

      I’ve looked into the Lithic bags in the past, but I haven’t tried any of them yet, so I can’t really provide feedback. I may end up testing one in a few months, just haven’t decided which one. The Lithic stove is still going strong though! Thanks for watching!

    I do like the fact its wider. Ive had a lot of pots fall off the 3000. I would love to see how it holds up

      I've definitely had that happen when using my large pot on the little Amazon stove. Quite dangerous when boiling water goes everywhere.

    Nice, practical, objective review, thank you. Don't know if it's available in the UK. I have a 'pocket rocket' style one with the hose that goes to the gas canister. It fits into a plastic box and takes up little room, but not as little room as the screw-in direct type. To be honest I'm not a fan of having my can or kettle perched direct above the gas from the stability viewpoint as well as making it more difficult protecting the flame from the wind. ATB, Terry

      That's a valid point. Thankfully I've never had any stability issues with the smaller pots, but it definitely become a problem with larger ones.

    Crazy! I've already watched several other videos of people boiling 2 cups in exactly 2:07, 2:10 , 2:15.
    I'm wondering why it took yours so long to boil

    • @GearTestTV
      @GearTestTV  4 года назад

      I had the fuel flow rate pretty low during this test since I was trying to roughly match the fuel rate of my previous stove tests for comparison. Using a stove at maximum flow rate is a very inefficient way to boil, and there are many factors beyond the stove that significantly impact the boil time, so I don't typically bother with testing the fastest boil time.

    Thanks for sharing. How is the sound/noise from the stove?

    Can't even find it on Walmart's website anymore. I was on clearance for a few days and disappeared.

      All the lithic stuff is on rollback. I think that means it's gonna be gone soon.

    You may not HAVE to carry a separate lighter, but you probably should anyway!

    Will it fit inside a 600ml or 750 ml cup with a small fuel canister?

    • @GearTestTV
      @GearTestTV  4 года назад +1

      I'm not sure about a 600, but it fits in my Toaks 750ml with a 100g canister no problem.

    You must have a poor BRS stove, had mine 3 years now and the legs on mine are still fairly stiff.

    • @GearTestTV
      @GearTestTV  4 года назад

      That's interesting. The legs on mine have been loose since the day I opened the package. Maybe I got a bad one?

    • @nicktombs1876

      @@GearTestTV possibly, maybe they are made in more than one place as it seems that some people have no problems and others speak of loose legs, leaking gas seals and so on.
