  • The referendum arose out of a request from Indigenous people to be recognised in the Constitution through the Voice. They didn't ask for symbolic recognition; they wanted a recognition that would make a practical difference in their lives. Allegra is proud that Wentworth answered that call and tried to deliver that recognition.

You can blame misinformation if you like, or you could face up to the reality that most Australians thought this was a bad idea.

Would not it be a matter of decency and honour for Anthony Albanese to resign after such a convincing crash of his malignant referendum? I guess, if Anthony Albanese has no personal decency and honour, he would try to cling into prime ministerial position and go against the will of the majority of Australians for the sake of his personal perverted ambitions.
I do not suggest that Anthony Albanese should have resigned as Prime Minister just because of the failure of this referendum. The outcome of referendum exposes this Albanese's project as malignantly divisive and politically illiterate and suggests that Anthony Albanese is unlikely hav-ing professional and moral qualities for leading our nation.

Truth in the media... depends upon which media you watch really. She's got no idea about how the real world works!

How often has this speaker quietly visited Torres Straits and isolated indigenous communities viewing true conditions. Investigating their needs essential but not the way of past referendum What wasnt done here in thousands of years cannot compare with what's been done in two & a half centuries these tribes had no leader no recognised civilsation ,no unifying single language no army no flag and what has remained are doing nothing for themselves without welfare which would empower them

Why is it that those who voted yes have so little connection to what ordinary Australians are facing daily...whether they are aboriginal or not?
These people appear to vote on a notion: this sounds like a good idea.. without doing any research. It appears that they say yes so they will look good and can say they did the right thing. There just does not seem to be any real explanation of why they would vote yes. I don't believe they really care about anyone outside of their suburbs.
