This song is a bit sentimental for a normal average survival game, but for it to actually be sentimental you must put it in speed 0.5 for it to pass the true feeling

That is very true, basic instincts are what keep the human being going, and yes i understand that, but that would be until you had built up a relationship with the other characters, however (obvoiusly) there will be the occational character trying to overthrow you and take your stuff, but that sorta thing has yet to be implemented.
(and so would i XD)
The song is still depressing even if you know the situation your in. You have no hope of saving your wife.

isn't it about AVOIDING mental breakdowns/zombification/starvation/insanity/ i don't know, death in general as well as (when NPC interactions are added) helping others to survive
