i also didn't have a Barbie as a child and with 3 older sisters i was never likely to get one (though she was considered "not quite nice" unlike Sindy, who was the "girl next door"). I bought my first Barbie for myself for my 60th birthday, second hand from ebay - She's one of the waving arm dolls, with the lever in her back and she was quickly followed by a Ballerina Dreams Barbie and Avon Winter Splendor.... and then a lot more!
I love your doll collection . I just acquired the Japanese pink skin side part as well as the outfit your displaying on your doll. It’s in the shipping process so I’m excited to get her and soon display her
